[Alice can be found at the Battle Park, checking everything out and holding some paperwork. She's looking specifically at all of the battle arenas, but if she spots you, she'll wave.]

Ulsai! I'm just working some things out with the venue here, but I thought I'd see what all of the terrain courts were like. What's your favourite?

Oh, did you hear about the Dome-tide tournament? I've worked it out to host one coming up! It'll be fun, do you want in?


(Alice is setting up for the Dome-tide battle tournament, which will get its own post on or around the 12th. OOC signups are here on the plotting post for anyone who hasn't yet! Brackets and winners will be decided through RNG, and you won't have to play through your battles unless you want to.)

"I haven't heard about Dome-tide or a tournament! What is it?"

Oh, hello!

[Alice sees absolutely nothing wrong with a talking Eevee.]

It's a holiday from my home that's coming up. There are usually tournaments held around that time, since organized sport is one of Lord Dome's domains. So I thought I'd run one, since a lot of my friends here love to battle!

Oh! I bet Ash would love that!

You know him too? He does love that kind of thing. I think he said it was his dream to be the strongest. I mean, it's a common dream to have, so it makes sense.

Yeah! I travel with him a lot! I'll come cheer everybody on!

[Evie isn't big on battling herself, but she supports those who are.]

Red's wandering into town with a Nidoqueen - who's shorter than him - walking next to him. The Nidoqueen, Nickie, is glaring at passersby and looking around like she wants to find something specific. Red's acting indifferent to it, but then he spots a familiar face, and heads over to Alice.

"Tournament?" he repeats, glancing at the poster up on the wall nearby. This piques Nickie's attention and she comes over, looking at the poster as well. Ooh, fighting? She's interested!

Good afternoon, Red! And I'm not sure I got your name. [She says, addressing the Nidoqueen, like it's normal to ask her and not her trainer.] That's right! There's a holiday coming up from my world, and they usually hold tournaments around that time. And given how many strong trainers we have, I thought it would be fun!

[red_berry]

"Mm," Red replies to the greeting.

"Nique!" the Nidoqueen bellows heartily, like it's normal for her to respond to the question.

"Nickie," Red translates for his Pokemon, glancing at her. "...Want to join?"

Nickie responds with a happy roar, punching her fist into her palm.

Red nods, then looks at Alice. How does he join the tournament?

Great! [Alice offers the clipboard out for Red to sign up.] The information's all on here. It sounds like we've got a good amount of people looking forward to it. ...You know, it's kind of funny. My Red back home has a Nidoking. I guess it's one of those variations.

[red_berry]

Red takes the signboard, glances at it quickly, and after absorbing all the information he figures he needs, signs his full name. Red Norman Berry.

"Huh," Red says, looking at Nickie, who shrugs and poses, flexing her arms. Seems she wants to assure everyone that she's stronger than whoever that other Red's Nidoking is. Red nods and hands the signboard back to Alice.

[He gave a nod in greeting before taking note of the posters, and back to Alice.]

I'm not familiar but if you're hosting it...I wouldn't mind signing up. I'm sure my Pokemon are itching to battle again.

That sounds great! [She offers over the clipboard.] They must like it a lot, huh?

[X takes the clipboard looking it over. Name? X should be fine...]

I like to battle too. Or...at least I'm starting to like them again. I think a few of my Pokemon would be eager to join.

Starting to, huh... [Alice smiles.] I hope you have fun with it! If they're happy, that's the most important thing here.

I know Garma would be put off if I don't enter him into it.

[X sighed, as a pair of eyes peered from his own shadow. His Gengar, Garma was clearly listening eagerly.]

Will you be entering as a participant too, Alice?

[Ash happily waves back. Though once questioned, he then cups his chin.]

Hmmmm, honestly I don't know... I like all kinds of them. I guess as long as they make battles more interesting and challenging, then I'll like it more!

You've got a point! So something with interesting terrain. I hope everyone has a good time! I've been in a lot of tournaments, but running one is something different.

[Immediately Ash's interest is piqued.]

When!? Where!? I wanna join!!

For Dome-tide! It should be starting in a few days from now. I thought it might be a good idea since we have so many people who love to battle around here.

[He catches her around town and blinks in surprise. A... tournament? He shakes his head.]

You'll... need people to watch, won't you?

[He's not much of a battler anymore.]

Of course! Do you like watching that kind of thing? I should let you know we have a good crop of strong trainers around here.

I do. Though I tend to miss a lot of them. I... don't have a phone. Or a television.

... Or many electronics at all.

[He is a homeless old man.]

It's a little hard without those if you're not physically there, huh... I know the feeling. I didn't have a phone until I got here. Even when I got stuck in Goldenrod for ages, I just kept borrowing the gym landline.

Ulsai! [Alice waves.] It's one of my favourite holidays back home. Followers of the Dome honour order and stability -- and organized sport, so there's usually a tournament going on! And since we have so many people here who love to battle, I thought it'd be fun to run one here in Ultern.
