Oh, did you hear about the Dome-tide tournament? I've worked it out to host one coming up! It'll be fun, do you want in?

Yeah, we are! But we didn't meet before here.

Okay! I just wondered. You never know in a place like this, after all, with how everybody's home varies from a template. Don't you think?

"Template?" Evie blinks, tilting her head.

Oh! Just an easy way of looking at things. All of our worlds have some things in common, even if they're very different in other ways, right? And many of us have similar appearances and backgrounds, but clear key differences from one another.

[radleyslittleevie]

Yeah, I guess that's true! It's neat! I like learning about all the places.

[domeinion]

Right? Everyone's home has something that makes it stand out! What about yours, what have you found that's different?

[radleyslittleevie]

I'm with my Radley! ... Or I was before Team Rocket took me away.... I haven't seen him here at all. But I'll find him someday, even if I have to go through many worlds!

[domeinion]

Rockets, huh... I know those guys, all right. They're not much of a problem where I'm from anymore, but they do like to cause people trouble. I'm sure you'll find him! Though hopefully not without going through the stream in too many directions.

Oh, that's good they don't cause a lot of trouble for you!

... Stream? Is that what it's called to go through dimensions?

[domeinion]

They call it drifting here, but the term I'm familiar with is "going through the stream." I hope it's not too confusing. I find lots of things are when I talk to people.

Oh, it's not confusing! What kind of stream is it, though?

[domeinion]

I'm not actually sure why it's called that. It's a concept of something between worlds that pulls you from one to the next. Like if you put a boat in an actual stream and then sail to the next town.

That's kind of neat! Sailing to other worlds!

[domeinion]

Right? It's an easy-to-understand metaphor, at the very least. And multiversal physics as they are can get fairly complicated.

[radleyslittleevie]

What kinds of other worlds have you seen?

[domeinion]

Me personally? A lot of randomized timelines to varying degrees, a lot of spots on non-randomized timelines that nevertheless got a little weird -- oh, there was a world where all the Pokémon could talk, like you, and a Wooper took over the world and then doomed it with a curse, which only reinforces that you really shouldn't listen to random people saying they'll make you stronger for an unspecified price, but then the glitches didn't help in that case either. Oh, and then there was the world where everything was themed after desserts! And the world -- or maybe it was more than one -- that didn't even have Pokémon. I didn't see that firsthand or anything, but Yugi and Honey did, and we do get limited observation from our base in the void -- that'll take a long time to explain in itself, but back to the other worlds! Sometimes we'll get glimpses into other worlds too, but it usually doesn't show us much. Whatever we can track the Voices doing.

Oh no! Did you save the Wooper's world?

A dessert world sounds so yummy! ... But how can there be worlds without Pokemon?!

[domeinion]

I know! It was weird. Honey said she saw something that she thought was one, but it was just called a "dog" and it didn't really do much.

[radleyslittleevie]

Well, we have dog Pokemon, so maybe it was related?

[domeinion]

Right? Something like a Growlithe or maybe a Houndour, but just without what makes it what it is. Although I suppose that's not a great description, but that's what I have to work with.

Maybe I'll meet some sometime! I like to meet everyone!

It must be fun to be someplace like this, then, since so many people get pulled into here at random.

Yeah! I've found so many new friends! Almost everyone has been so nice!

Almost? Don't tell me someone was bullying you.
