Ulsai! I'm just working some things out with the venue here, but I thought I'd see what all of the terrain courts were like. What's your favourite?

Oh, did you hear about the Dome-tide tournament? I've worked it out to host one coming up! It'll be fun, do you want in?


(Alice is setting up for the Dome-tide battle tournament, which will get its own post on or around the 12th. OOC signups are here on the plotting post for anyone who hasn't yet! Brackets and winners will be decided through RNG, and you won't have to play through your battles unless you want to.)

Of course! Do you like watching that kind of thing? I should let you know we have a good crop of strong trainers around here.

I do. Though I tend to miss a lot of them. I... don't have a phone. Or a television.

... Or many electronics at all.

It's a little hard without those if you're not physically there, huh... I know the feeling. I didn't have a phone until I got here. Even when I got stuck in Goldenrod for ages, I just kept borrowing the gym landline.

I see. Everyone seems to think it's so common... I suppose I'm old.

[More than she knows, but still.]

It's common now, but technology changes rapidly, after all. I really should've gotten a phone years ago, but when I started they weren't all that common, and they definitely weren't as advanced... [She scratches her head with a nervous laugh.] I hope you have a fun time! Everybody seems to be excited to compete, so it'll be good to watch if you're into that.

It's exciting just to watch good trainers. Ones that are kind to their Pokemon.

[He can definitely tell if someone isn't.]

But a lot of trainers around here seem to fit that description.

That's true. The portal phenomenon brings in all sorts of people, of course, but most of the people I've come across are very kind and understanding. Sometimes even when I get into the weird stuff. Then again, statistically most of it might be weird stuff, judging from the reactions it gets sometimes.
