"I stole a bike once," Gold says out of nowhere, then pauses.

Huh. Why did he say that?

He's got a sudden ominous feeling that this might be a terrible day for him.

A wary look and a lifted eyebrow.

"This is why my parents warned me about low class—"

Clamping a hand over his mouth and looking shockedm then apologetic, shaking his head.

Yeah, this is going to be singularly horrible.

Gold blinks. He looks totally unaffected by that, though.

"Oh, you haven't grown out of that? You're still just like little Trip I guess."

Oops. Gold raises a hand to his mouth, covering it. That's the exact kind of thing Trip hates to hear, isn't it... He looks at Trip warily, waiting to see how he reacts.

Attila, in his kimono, straw hat, and geta sandals civilian disguise, was roaming the streets of Turnbloom City as 'Akira.'

"Kind of a stupid name to pick, barely one letter off," he said off-handedly to himself, then his eyes snapped wide open.

"H-hey!"

He looked around to see if anyone else heard that. What's gotten into him?!

"Stupid...!"

Someone did hear it. A tall guy who looks like he's been crawling in the bushes for a week at least, with leaves and twigs sticking out of his messy hair, is just staring at Attila blankly.

He's keeping his mouth shut for now, showing absolutely no sign of what he's thinking on the outside.

Stiff as a board. Won't move a muscle. But desperation and fear of repercussion was building up inside him.

"... I could beat you up, scare you into silence, or kill you."

In a low, threatening voice, but Attila's wide, shocked eyes did not suggest that threat was meant to be voiced.

Unfortunately he's been heard, loud and clear by this Paldean man. He stared looking Attila over, with a clear frown.

"Did you runaway too?" His tone was clear that he wasn't judging Attila in the least for what he's saying.

"U-uh, wha..." Attila fumbled, but then laughed it off and rubbed the back of his head. "You could say that. Ain't even the first time."

Keep the stories close. That's always hte key to not messing up.

"Gone by so many fake names already..."

You know what you absolutely do not want to hear? The first thoughts of someone very, very judgmental and arrogant, even if he isn't so much anymore, those first thoughts are pretty deeply ingrained in there... even if it's not what he personally believed anymore or was just an inkling at the back of his mind, you're getting pure and unfiltered jerk Trip today.

Hey, maybe you'll luck out and he'll also admit sweeter sentiments than he would normally. As it stands, Trip's mortified enough to quite literally tape his mouth shut. He's just scared of bruising himself with it and kind of holding the roll of tape out with an uncertain look.

Fortunately, Mairin has absolutely no filter normally (unless she's bottling up sorrow), so she won't even notice at first.

"Aah, my butt's itchy and I can't find an empty enough place to scratch it... maybe I could use a wall or door like a little Espurr. ... huh? Whoops, hehe, said that outloud, didn't I, Chespie?" she asked, grinning at her exasperated partner.

The perks of being a tomboy and utterly shameless, I suppose!

"Rin, what are you--" oh he didn't mean to refer to her like that out loud. "Oh I meant to say Mairin...why did I say that just now?"

[It's another nice day out in Ohritori Island! The wind has a nice refreshing breeze, and his buddy Pikachu, Hammy is strolling along side him. Red's having a great day despite the fiasco that might be going down elsewhere. Smiling he'll turn to Hammy.]

Hammy, I hope you never change.

...huh, I didn't mean to say it out loud but I might as well tell you I'm glad we're still friends, Hammy.

[Oops! X was just passing along being carried on Kanga's back for once when he noticed Alice. As he opened his mouth ready to greet her did he overhear her.]

I don't know much about parents mine are never home but...if you wanted to talk, I'm good at listening.

[Oh, he shouldn’t have hears that, probably. Trip froze, turned back around, and tried to walk quickly, but quietly away, before he’s say anything:]

[Great going! Slow turn with an apologetic half-smile and the hope of maybe ignoring he said anything?]

[It's a nice day outside which obviously means Elio is out in the open, as he's brushing his Incineroar, Booster's fur. They both seem to be a good mood until a sigh left Elio.]

Booster, I dunno what to do any more. It's nice that Ash is around, and Lillie too but I wish I could get them back home. I mean...I dunno what it's like to have a home...

"I feel that," Gold says from behind, and cringes.

He didn't mean to say that. He just saw Elio and thought he'd try and gather the courage to say something to him, and then Elio went and said something relatable while he was quietly approaching, and then that thing that kept happening today happened and he said what he was thinking out loud.

And now Gold is just standing there awkwardly, hands in his pockets.

O-oh… [Lillie’s eyes softened, brimming with tears at his words. What a pure-hearted wish, but, so sad…]

[At the shores of Route 1, Ash can be seen sitting on a fallen log next to Pikachu as they watch the afternoon horizon together. They were mostly there to watch the Sandygast pass by anyway.

And then Ash takes a deep breath before staring at the setting sun.]

Y'know, Pikachu? I'm kind of craving for Brock's Cream Stew. It's times like these were I wish Brock, Cilan or even Clemont were here and we'd have dinner together.

Pika?

[...It takes a moment for Ash to realize what he just said.]

Huh, I must be really hungry right now if I'm saying that out loud! Oh well!

... Mr. Cilan and his brothers were very good cooks. The cakes at the Striaton restaurant looked good, but I thought ordering cakes'd look too babyish and unmanly, so I ordered a black coffee instead and felt sick the whole time after one sip and my heart pounded like crazy and I don't think I like caffiene actually. Still beat Mr. Chili, though. I took it out with me and just abandoned it somewhere because I couldn't drink it and it stunk and it was gross.

[Well, THAT was a lot.

Trip took a long breath after that tirade and pulled a strip of tape.]

Something happened and has us all saying things we don't want to, so I'm thinking of taping my mouth shut.

I think it might be a side effect of something else, Ash.

[Alice laughs a little self-consciously as she approaches.]

I'd offer you some food, but I can never get the hang of not burning anything.

I never know when I'm hungry but I miss when Mom made me food! Or tea time with Daisy.

[Red is beaming. Hammy on the other hand made a face, lightly smacking Red's leg with his paw.]
