EARLY MORNING - THE BANYAN RESIDENCE
[There's a welcoming scent of coffee wafting through the air. It seems to be coming from the lone home in the middle of the route as the windows are left open. The sun was only starting to rise, painting the surrounding scenery with reds and oranges, as the waves create a gentle splashing sound.

The person within the home seemed to not be big on security, as the front door at the front deck of the home was propped wide open with a rocking chair. Unsurprisingly there's a Pokemon perched on top of it--a yellow skinned Chikorita that could be easily mistaken for a shiny one, if it weren't for the fact its leaf was green. Perhaps it was there to soak up the light from the rising sun.

Not soon after, a man--barefoot, and not quite yet dressed for the day will step out onto the deck with a mug of coffee in hand.]

Ah, another wonderful morning. Don't ya think, Chikorita?

[The professor grinned wide while taking in the seaside view.]


MORNING - OUT IN THE YARD
[You know what's the best thing to do in the mornings? GARDENING!

The Pokemon Professor of this region--Professor Banyan is seen with his signature sunglasses, and straw hat already on along with a pair of gardening gloves. His iconic white lab coat is nowhere to be seen on his person so it wouldn't be a surprise if anyone mistook him as some ordinary gardener.

He's watering the flowers, and other plants in the yard (that wasn't fenced off) before turning his attention to the grass type Pokemon who congregated around him. He has a Sprinklotad in hand as he smiled wide.]

Now don't push! I've got plenty of water for everyone!

AFTERNOON - SEASIDE TRAIL
[Professor Banyan, the Pokemon Professor of this region will be out and about on the beach. He could be find doing the following:

►Sitting on the beach, seemingly relaxing. Who wouldn't want to take a moment to kick back and soak up the sun when the weather is nice and sunny? For whatever reason there's a Staryu that's laying right next to him, no doubt also sunbathing.


►Taking notes of the surrounding Pokemon! He has a notepad in hand, with his gaze set on a pair of Tentacool happily swaying along with the waves, to a nearby Sandygast that sat on the sand where a curious little Pikachu with brown paws, and a light colored belly sniffed at it.

In fact he might even approach any nearby Trainer who had their Pokemon out of their Pokeball with his eyes lighting up with intrigue and interest despite being hidden behind his sunglasses.

►Out training or really, playing with his Pokemon as Professor Banyan, still out on the sandy beach is now seen with a trio of Pokemon - a yellow skinned Chikorita, the brown pawed, light colored belly Pikachu, and Staryu. There’s a confident smirk on his face.]

Alright, are you three ready?

[He’s holding what’s clearly a sparkly ball in his hand.]

The one to get this the fastest wins! Here goes!

[He’ll be seen winding up his left arm before throwing the ball as far as he could across the beach. In an instant Pikachu and Chikorita dashed through the sand leaving Banyan alone with Staryu. Noticing this, he chuckled before kneeling next to Staryu to place a hand upon it.]

They’re getting faster, aren’t they?

EARLY MORNING - BANYAN RESIDENCE (feat. Lear)

[Unfortunately for Banyan, his early morning coffee time is interrupted by the sounds of yelling. Maybe he might mistake it for the cries of Fearow or Dodrio, but nope. These are the sounds of a young boy falling down from a giant hole in the sky. Just another Tuesday I'd say-

Following after everything that happened earlier in Turnbloom, Ash and Snorlax ungraciously crash lands onto Banyan's front yard. His Pikachu soon follows after, dropping onto Ash as his makeshift cushion, to which Ash reacted with a grunt.]

Ugh...

[Once he recovers, Ash gets himself to sit up and look around.]

...Where are we?

[Lear on the other hand had a far more graceful landing, as he appeared behind them with Hoopa not too far behind. He's taking in their surroundings before approaching Ash and his team.]

Seems we were sent outside of the city, thanks to Hoopa.

Hoopa!

[Hoopa chiming in caused Lear to turn his gaze away to really take in his surrounding. It seemed they were out in a well maintained yard near someone's home. Just as he looked over the foundation of the home, and up to the deck his eyes locked onto a man who was out enjoying a cup of coffee.

Realizing they were in someone's yard, Lear immediately turned his attention to Hoopa.]

Hoopa, what did I tell you!? I said in to take us to a field! Not a yard!

[These nice quiet moments in the mornings were so nice. Time for another sip of his coffee-!?

Professor Banyan is taken out of the moment when Ash came crashing into his yard with his Pokemon. He choked, and began coughing with his coffee splattering out from his cup. That grabs his Chikorita's attention as he's sitting up now alert.]

Chikooo!

[He's huffing while rushing to see what the commotion was, while the Professor continued to cough a few more times. Setting his cup down, and instead of rushing down the steps to the yard the Professor immediately hopped over his front deck's railing and out into the yard still barefoot. Once he's caught up to his Chikorita, and made it to the group he couldn't help but express his surprise and alarm.]

Who the heck are ya guys? What's going on here?

[Aw shoot, they're in someone's yard instead? But before he could think about moving Snorlax aside, he takes notice of Banyan's presence. Ash begins looking sheepish at the older man as he rubs the back of his head.]

Sorry... We're just trying to find a good place for my Snorlax to rest in. But Hoopa dropped us off here instead.

[princeofpasio]

[That was sure a man not yet ready for the day just rushing over to them in some shorts and t-shirt. He must be angry suddenly having uninvited guests on his yard. Might as well make it clear he meant no ill intent.]

I apologize. It wasn't any of our intentions to land on your yard like this. We won't take much of your time, I'll have Hoopa relocate us immediately.

Hoopa!

[His Hoopa chimed while twirling around without a care in the world. Lear's crossing his arms showing his disdain to Hoopa. You cheeky little-]

MORNING - OUT IN THE YARD

Among the grass Pokemon that gather around Professor Banyan, there's one Meganium who doesn't quite belong in the crowd, sitting there with an expectant smile.

Somewhere in the distance, you can hear a kid shouting:

"Caaaarn! Where'd you go?"

The Meganium glances back, then decides to ignore the voice and stay right here.

[ulternprofessor]

"Oh? Looks like we've got a new friend, everyone." Professor Banyan didn't seem bothered in the slightest by the new face among the crowd of grass types.

"Chikochiko!" The different colored Chikorita who was standing next to Professor Banyan spoke up while waving his leaf in greeting to Carn. It seemed he was delighted in having a new guest over.

The Professor meanwhile began to hum as he happily sprinkled water with the Sprinklotad on Carn, and the surrounding grass types. It's however at the sound of a young child did some of them immediately rushed to hide. A blue flower Floette chose to take cover under the Professor's straw hat, while a Hoppip moved to hide directly behind him. Giving pause to his watering Professor Banyan glanced over in the direction of the voice.

Carn greets Professor Banyan cheerfully. Then, noticing Chikorita, he waves his antennae in greeting, before leaning over to sniff at his leaf, also in greeting. How nostalgic. Was I also this yellow back then, Carn wonders, before deciding he probably was. There's a yellow Chikorita right there, so Chikoritas are probably usually yellow. Simple as that.

Meanwhile, Gold's wandering around, looking for his Pokemon after he'd ran off following a battle.

"Where the heck did he even go? Come on, Carn, you can't just ditch me like this..." he mutters to himself. Then, he notices the grass-type Pokemon gathered around some guy, and Carn among them, innocently waving antennae at him. "Carn!" Gold stomps over. "Why'd you run off like that? What if I'd gotten lost!" While Carn looks apologetic, Gold turns to Professor Banyan. "Sorry, mister. I dunno why he ran off on me like that. Hope he wasn't bothering you."

Carn makes an indignated noise. Bother? Him? Of course not!

Professor Banyan's eyes are sharp as he turned his gaze to Gold. Thankfully his shades hid the fact before he turned his attention to Carn. A smile formed on his lips followed by a chuckle.

"Don't be so upset," he spoke in a gentle tone to Carn. "He was just worried about you, that's all."

"Chikori?" The Chikorita who stood next to the Professor tilted his head in confusion. The Professor returned his focus to Gold, smiling still.

"Oh, don't worry about it. It's no trouble here. All the Pokemon besides Chikorita here are wild ones, but I should've figured this Meganium here wasn't a wild one from the looks of it." He gave another glance to Carn, and back to Gold. "I can tell you've taken good care of him."

[gold_drum]

Carn nods with a grin, his former indignation off his face like it was never there. Seems he was just playing it up. He walks over to Gold and gently plops his jaw on Gold's head, releasing some soothing aroma.

"Huh, really?" Gold is a bit embarrassed at the Professor's praise. "I dunno, I think he's the one taking good care of me." He pets Carn's neck, and pauses, noticing it's wet. "Did you water him? ...Am I supposed to be watering him?"

Now Gold's worried. What's he supposed to be doing to take care of his other Pokemon? He's only been a trainer for a short time, and nobody told him about watering.

AFTERNOON TRAINING TIME !!

[tripurragent]

[Espurr has been settling nicely on this island- a parasol is a must whenever the sun is out of course, but that's really a small matter next to experiencing such a wonderful world!

She still feels a bit odd about this pokemon catching business, but that's not really a surprise in her case.

Now that she's nicely settled though, the Seaside Trail is a great place for her to enjoy the island- there's plenty of sand, and when you can play around with earth the way she does as a 'troll', you can make some neat things!

...

Or you can get in on a race. (Don't worry Pikachu, Chikorita- she won't be taking the sparkly ball)

If anyone expected to see Espurr launching forward on the sand as if she were skiing down a sand hill, well..!!

There she goes!!]

Hmhmhmhm~!

[While Chikorita stopped surprised by a new challenger entering the race, Pikachu's eyes narrow as he uses Agility to raise his speed to dash across the sand. He wasn't going to lose this race!!!

Meanwhile the Banyan lifted the brim of his straw hat with a gaze that showed he was equally surprised as his Chikorita.]

Whoa, y'see that Staryu? That Parasol gal's pretty fast!

[tripurragent]

[Very! ...But not so fast that the challengers are completely out of the running! Perhaps because Espurr can't really take a straight shot through the sand without ruining any unseen pokemon habitats down below, but she's doing a lot of zigging and zagging on the way there-

Even so, what's a good race without some teasing?] Better hurry..~! I'm almost there..~!

[GASP...]

[Not on his watch!!! Giving into his competitive side, Pikachu's absolutely determined to win this race and gives himself an extra speed boost by using Agility once more and catching up to Espurr. He could see the goal twinkling just up ahead!

As for Chikorita on the other hand, he seems very distracted to even join in the race and ends up cheering for the two.]

Chiko! Chiko!

[Banyan just chuckles, amused at the sight. Hey, at least everyone's having fun here.]

Hm-hm-hmmm~~! I'm almost thereeeee..~

[Espurr hold back? Never-! (Totally!)

...Butt it does look like Pikachu might just get that twinkling goal! At the very least, it's not like Espurr can use Agility! You've got this Pikachu!! OHHHHH!!]

Afternoon Training

Evie the Eevee comes upon them on the beach and watches the game with fascination. "That looks fun! Can I play?"

Whoa, did that Eevee just talk? Banyan blinked as he stared down at the cute little Pokemon. It takes him a second which followed with a smile. He'll turn in the direction of his Chikorita and Pikachu who dashed off before placing both his pointer finger and thumb into his mouth to let out a loud whistle.

His two Pokemon upon hearing that turned and rushed over to their trainer's side.

"Hey you two, why don't you let this cute lil' guest play too?"

"Chikochiko!" Chikorita hopped up clearly excited to have another player along. Pikachu who managed to catch the sparkly ball held it up to Banyan with his tail.

"Ah! Great job Pikachu! Alright you three, ready?" Taking the ball into his hand Banyan will toss it forward. "Come and get it!"

Evie dances happily. "Yay! Thank you!"

She wags her tail to see her new friends. "Hi! I'm Evie!"

And she leaps after the ball when it's thrown.

It had been surprising when Evie talked! Who knew that he'd experience hearing a Pokemon talk in a language he understood within his lifetime? Banyan chuckled while watching the three Pokemon give chase to the ball.

While Chikorita was just having fun running along with both Pikachu and Evie, Pikachu was of a competitive nature. Seeing Evie leap for the ball, he bristled and went to swipe at the ball with his tail to purposely roll it further.

He wants to get the ball, and get many headpats from Banyan, gosh!

"Chikori!" Chikorita cheered not realizing Pikachu was playing keep away now.

Evie, being very innocent, doesn't understand either and thinks it's part of the game. She dives at the ball when it's rolled away more.

[Early Morning]

[Oh, that's an inviting looking home! What a cute Pokemon, too...

Iris absolutely had to get a closer look at the little cutie stretched out there, so she runs over!]

Hiiii! ♥ Aren't you just cutest little thing?!

[She's learned not to grab Pokemon unless they're fine with it, of course! Axew also pops out of her hair to wave and introduce himself!]

[Chikorita is suprised at first when Iris makes her sudden appearance, but quickly he happily wags the leaf on his head when she remarks how cute he is.]

Chikori! Chikooo!

[Banyan is just standing at the side, coffee still on hand, and visibly amused by the new visitor's reaction. But when Axew reveals himself out of Iris' hair, that got Banyan's full attention and steps closer.]

Ulsai, kid! That fella ya got there wouldn't happen to be an Axew, wouldn't it?

[He is adorable!]

Oh, I could just hug you right now!!

[Oh, that coffee smell’s pleasant! Coffee always smells good, even if the taste is way too bitter. She begins noticing the other human being before she hears the voice.
Iris turns to look.]

Uh? Yeah, of course he is! Want to meet him?

[Iris makes her way over to Banyan, Axew bright-eyed and curious, even politely offering a tiny clawed paw to shake. Does he want to shake hands (well, maybe just fingers) like Professor Oak?]

If ya don't mind, absolutely!

[An excited Banyan grins at the tiny dragon. And oh! Is it offering a handshake? Banyan offers his pointing finger for Axew to grab hold of.]

Heheh, It's not everyday I find an Axew around these parts. I better take notes while I'm at it.

[Chikorita meanwhile follows beside Iris and starts waving his leaf at Axew the moment he makes his presence. What a strange-looking visitor!]
