[INTRO] X-ing over to a new land!

[WHERE: The entrance of Gilterrace Town.

X is taking a step forward only to stop. There's a dumbfounded look on his face as he's very obviously examining his surroundings. Slowly but surely his expression is becoming less and less expressive. While he doesn't say the question that's weighing his mind, he can be seen through out the town. His steps are on the quick side, as if looking for something or someone.]


[WHEN: Afternoon

X can be found on route 1--with a Pokedex in hand. There's an group of Ulternian Sunkerns frolicking about, minding their own business. X here just seemed absolutely baffled as his Pokedex not only recognize the Pokemon before him--but they were registering as a normal Sunkern.

Why was that...?

He seemed to be engrossed with his Pokedex, even with a Kangaskhan sitting directly behind him.]

[WHY: was he here?

Stubbornly refusing to return to town, X is setting up camp over at the Shrouded Woods. By setting camp it's more like he's found a hollow tree trunk and sitting there, not moving. He's tired, and he's given up on walking. Surely no one would come to look for him inside a tree trunk. No one suspicious, anyway.]


(ooc: come pester X from PokeSpe! He's a little bit before the epilogue but he shouldn't be as anti-social as he was near the start of his journey--)

Evie the talking Eevee is sitting on the fence. "Hi!" she greets. "They're neat, aren't they? I love meeting new friends!"

Oh it's an Eevee. He's seen Eevee before, as one of his friends had caught one--

wait.

Did that Eevee...just talk? No way that's possible. Surely it has to be someone really tiny, in an Eevee costume.

...who was he kidding, that was very obviously an Eevee. That talked.

"Uh, I...guess..." he really wanted to question how she could talk, or why. Was he dreaming? His Kangashkan--Kanga glanced over to Evie, but she did nothing as she didn't see Evie to be a threat of any kind. Instead her baby, Li'l Kanga popped out from the pouch to let out a little greeting.

Evie happily greeted both Kangashkan too!

"Have you been here long? There's so much to see!"

X doesn't respond as he was fine in watching Kanga and Li'l Kanga interact with Evie. However he'll notice Kanga glancing over to him, expecting him to respond. Well...talking to a talking Eevee (however bizarre and concerning) should be safer than a strange adult, right?

"It's been a few hours, I think. How long have you been here?" He questioned, while wondering just how much Evie knew about where they were. Or if she had been in the same predicament as he has.

"I've been here for several months!" Evie said. "I'm looking for my person!"

So Evie wasn't a native? How did she end up here? Just abruptly, without any warning like he had?

"Is that so? I'm looking for someone too." At least they had that in comment, X thought to himself. He couldn't help but stare at his feet at the idea of Evie separated from her friend (trainer?). "What's their name? Do you know it?"

"Yeah! His name's Radley! Team Rocket took me away from him years ago and I'm still trying to find him! I guess he's grown up now...."

Team Rocket? He wasn't familiar as to what they were. Had they been on the news in the past? If so, he might have been too young to remember any of that.

"I see..." X trailed, wondering how he could follow up on that. He wasn't like Y or Tierno who were far better at this than he was. "Are you alone, then?"

"Well ... I'm alone right now, but I'm traveling with Ash!" Evie said.

"Ash...? Is that another Pokemon?" He couldn't help but wonder. As far as X knew, Ash could very well be another Pokemon. He hasn't met any other person yet anyway.

"No, he's a person! He has a really nice Pikachu!" Evie's tail wags in her happiness.

[closedbond]

A trainer with a Pikachu? That wasn't a lot to work with but at least he knew "Ash" wasn't a Pokemon.

"I'm glad you met someone nice. Are you staying with him until you find your friend?"

"Yeah! It's so nice not to be alone! We go off and look at things, but we always meet up again!" Evie says cheerfully. "Ash likes battling a lot but I don't so much."

It sounded like they didn't always spend time together, but at least she had someone looking out for her.

"Does he make you battle?" He couldn't help but ask. He didn't know a thing about this Ash--aside from owning a Pikachu.

"Oh no! He's really nice and respects what everyone wants!" Evie said.

"That's good." Whoever this Ash is, he'd have to be a nice person for Evie to trust him. "What do you like to do?"

Evie is pretty trusting in general, although after being stranded with Team Rocket so long, she's pretty good at determining who's deserving of it.

"I like meadows and flowers and meeting people and Pokemon and shopping and eating food!" Evie rambles.

"You can shop?"

Did people just give her free items are stores, or maybe she ran errands for Ash? It was hard to tell but X found himself caught up on that small detail. At least it sounded like she was having a good time here, wherever "here" was anyway.

"Have...they treated you nice? The people here, I mean."

[radleyslittleevie]

"Yeah! Everyone here is so nice! Some of them let me have things for free, but I like helping out to pay!"

At least people were being nice to this talking Eevee, but was their kindness genuine? X wasn't sure, as part of him doubted it.

"That's good that they're nice to you. So do you do errands for them?"

[radleyslittleevie]

"Yeah, sometimes! I find them things or I help them deliver things!" Evie says.

"What kind of things do you find them...?"

Hopefully she just meant things like berries. Yet, after all he's experienced a less than optimistic side of him denied it. It had to be something seemingly harmless to an innocent Pokemon.

"Usually food ingredients! Or things they lose around the house, like glasses!" Evie says.

Oh. So they really had her doing normal errands...

"That's nice of you. I'm sure they appreciate it."

"I hope so! I love to help!" Evie chirps.
