[INTRO] X-ing over to a new land!

[WHERE: The entrance of Gilterrace Town.

X is taking a step forward only to stop. There's a dumbfounded look on his face as he's very obviously examining his surroundings. Slowly but surely his expression is becoming less and less expressive. While he doesn't say the question that's weighing his mind, he can be seen through out the town. His steps are on the quick side, as if looking for something or someone.]


[WHEN: Afternoon

X can be found on route 1--with a Pokedex in hand. There's an group of Ulternian Sunkerns frolicking about, minding their own business. X here just seemed absolutely baffled as his Pokedex not only recognize the Pokemon before him--but they were registering as a normal Sunkern.

Why was that...?

He seemed to be engrossed with his Pokedex, even with a Kangaskhan sitting directly behind him.]

[WHY: was he here?

Stubbornly refusing to return to town, X is setting up camp over at the Shrouded Woods. By setting camp it's more like he's found a hollow tree trunk and sitting there, not moving. He's tired, and he's given up on walking. Surely no one would come to look for him inside a tree trunk. No one suspicious, anyway.]


(ooc: come pester X from PokeSpe! He's a little bit before the epilogue but he shouldn't be as anti-social as he was near the start of his journey--)

"The Sunkern?" He glanced over to them. To X, it seemed like they were just sunbathing to catch more sunlight. Did it seem like they were playing to Evie? "I guess."

He wasn't sure what she saw--but he wasn't about to ruin the mood either.

"It is peaceful...the Pokemon here are different from what I saw back home."

The hopping definitely seemed like a game to Evie.

"Yeah, I haven't even seen some of them before!" she exclaimed.

"You too, huh?" There was no point in asking an Eevee where she is from exactly. He doubted she'd know the name of what region she was from. "Where I live...there's no wild Sunkern but I know they didn't look like that."

"Maybe the sunny area makes them grow different?" Evie suggests. "That's what they say about the big palm tree Pokemon!"

"I think I've heard of them... regional Pokemon." X hummed thoughtfully. "It's possible."

He could ask someone about this, but who? He really didn't know anyone within Ultern yet. One thing he was sure of is the fact his Pokedex still recognized the Sunkern as Sunkern.

"Say have you met other Pokemon that looked different from what you've seen back home?"

Oh snap, I usually catch when I post with the wrong account!

"Yeah, some!" Evie says. "Not a lot, but some! They're neat!"

No worries, it happens!

So, based on Evie's (very honest) response there were other regional variants around. While he had no intentions of catching any it wouldn't hurt to go see them. It made him think about Trevor, and his ever growing curiosity towards Pokemon.

Shifting his gaze back to the Sunkerns, and feeling the sway of the ocean breeze passing through the world around him felt... peaceful. Unlike everything back home from the constant threat that had loomed over his friends, to the dirty looks people had given them all.

"...yeah, I think they're neat too. It's nice here."

"Yeah, it is! I hope Team Rocket won't try to spoil it by wanting to be an organization again!" Evie says.

"I've never heard of them back home." X admitted. "You said they took you away from your friend..."

He was afraid to ask just what they did to her. Was it the reason why should could talk? Just the thought of it made his stomach twist. Why did people want to hurt such an innocent Pokemon like this?

"I can't promise you that they won't, Evie but if you're ever in danger... I'll come help you."

"Yeah. I'm still trying to find him," she said softly. "They kept trying to make me evolve, but I won't for anyone but my Radley!"

And she beamed. "I'm glad! Thank you!"

"He really means a lot to you, then." Whoever this Radley was he could tell just how much Evie liked him. "I hope we can find the people we're looking for. ...I should get going."

X will brush himself off and send a glance to Kanga. Noticing X's gaze, Kanga will make her way to his side.

"He does," Evie says softly. "I hope so too!"

X will gaze down to Evie, before adjusting his cap.

"Remember if you get into trouble--just yell for me. I'll come find you."

Evie beams. "Okay! And I'll help if you need me!"

X gave a nod in response to Evie. He'll turn to Kanga, and place a light hand onto her to indicate he was ready to head out. Kanga turned giving both Evie and the Sunkern one last greeting before following after her trainer to explore more of the island together.

"Bye!" Evie waves and jumps down to play with the Sunkern. Making friends is so fun! She looks forward to seeing them again sometime.
