Suddenly in the midst of a Summer Festival--
There's a distinct sound of waves, and bustling of people nearby.
In the coastal city of Turnbloom the sun is bright and warm, and the scent of the sea wafts through with the cool gentle breeze that makes the glittering pinwheels spin, and the leaves on the palm tree dance.
Today the streets are extra decorated with these cute, colorful and floral shaped pinwheels. It seemed the people who were out in the streets were dressed in colorful summer attire--either casual, or the more traditional yukata. It seemed like with the booths were set out for both food and games for festival of some kind that was currently underway.
Just how did you get here, and why? A mystery, and it seemed the people in the streets didn't seem to notice anything out of the ordinary as they go about enjoying their time out on this bright sunny day.

"Radley is my special person! He's not allowed to be my Trainer, but we're really close! ... Or we were until Team Rocket took me away in the night...." Her ears droop. "I finally got away and I've been looking for him everywhere! Now I'm here...."

Wow, that was odd! Almost as odd as suddenly ending up in a whole new region without realizing it. At the mention of Team Rocket, Barry frowned. He recalled news about them causing trouble in a faraway place from Sinnoh...was Eevee from some other region?
"I don't get why this Radley can't be your trainer, but it does sound like you're really great friends! Hmm..." He's glancing around scanning for any signs of Team Rocket (they wore some kind of uniform, didn't they? He wasn't quite sure) but everything seemed fine. "What does he look like? There's a lot of people here...one of them would have had to seen him, right?"

Then Evie sighs. "Radley's grandma is mean and doesn't like animals."
But she perks up at the help. "You'll help look?!" Her tail waves vigorously. "He's got long black hair hanging on one side of his face and a piece in the middle! His eyes are really pretty green. And he's so nice! But ... I haven't seen him since he was 11. That was years ago. He might look different now...."

"Well, leave it to me! If we yell his name really loudly that'd get his attention!" He's fist pumping looking excited about his idea. Not once did he consider the amount of disruption he was about to cause.

Yeah! Let's do it!" Evie exclaims. She is much too innocent and childlike to think about the disruption either.

"Alright! Here goes!" Barry inhales as deeply as he rose up to his feet. Cupping his mouth with both his hands he began to call out as loudly as he could. "RADLEEEEEY! YOUR FRIEND IS HERE!"
Instead of getting one particular person's attention, a number of people stopped to look in Barry and Evie's direction with a look of surprise. He couldn't help but look around trying to spot anyone with dark hair and green eyes. Surely one of them had to be him!

Now even more people are staring.
"Is this a ventriloquist act?" one asks.

"Maybe he's not here in this area...hey! Why don't we check out somewhere else?" He turned to look over to Evie. "Do you remember what kinda places Radley liked spending time at?"

He's glancing around the crowd realizing there were still a few people looking over in their direction curiously. None of them really seem to fit Evie's description of her friend. Well, that's alright! He wasn't the type to be discouraged so easily. So instead he's rushing over to wave and grab the attention of the first person he made eye contact with.
"Hey excuse me! Can you tell me where the Pokemon Center is?!"

"There's a Pokemon Center over that way," the person says, pointing vaguely in a direction.
"Thank you!" Evie starts off in that direction.

The strange statues (one looked like Ho-Oh the other like Growlithe he was pretty sure) at the main entrance had him give pause and examining them, completely distracted as to why he was making his way over to the Pokemon Center to begin with.
"Huh, weird! I've never seen a Pokemon Center like this before." He's crossing his arms as he stepped back to look at the building up and down.

"Wow! They're so neat! I wonder why other Pokemon Centers aren't like this?!"

Of course he's only been in the Sinnoh Region. It did have sunny days, but not quite this sunny. He's crossing his arms looking really contemplative. His attention is at the statues once more.
"I wonder why they've got a Ho-Oh and Growlithe here...?" What a strange pair to setup as statues, and right next to each other at that. Was it to commemorate something?
"Oh!" He looked back to Evie, remembering as to why they were there in the first place. "Enough about that, let's go inside! We can ask people around about your friend here!"

She heads inside hopefully. If Radley is here, they can share it all together!

Barry turning to Evie smiled.
"Looks like we're in luck! The nurse seems to be free, we can ask her if she's seen anyone who looks like your friend!"

Completely innocent and sweet, she thought nothing of talking like a person without explaining. Not that she could explain much.

In fact, by the time Barry bounded over in time to see the exchange. He bit his lower lip while mentally considering just how his friends would handle this situation. Clearly, they would step in and take charge, right?

Making his way over Barry beamed.
"Isn't it cool!? Evie here knows how to talk like we do! She's a really special Eevee!" He turned over to Evie and beamed. "Just like how your friend Radley is very special to you, am I right?"

The nurse who seemed flustered still gave a polite smile in return.
"That's true, please tell me about your friend a little more sweetie." The nurse encouraged.

"Well, I'll happily keep a look out for your friend. If I see him, I'll let him know that you were looking for him." The Nurse gave a warm smile to Evie.
"Wow, thanks a bunch!" Barry cheered.
"In the mean time, why don't you two enjoy the Festival that's going on outside? There's plenty of things to do, and there's a lot of food as well." The Nurse encouraged, not wanting to see either of them discouraged during their search for Evie's trainer.
