[Someplace in Turnbloom City is a wandering Yamask equipped with a small leather backpack and gold bracers. His arms are curled, hands planted firmly in the straps of his backpack as he takes in the sights and sounds of this new place. He can be spotted at several different locations.]
[A] Stardust Beach
[Chenzira's closely inspecting the sand. He's experienced the sands of Goldenrod Bay and the Sevii Islands but never has he seen anything like this! He grabs a handful and holds it close to get a better look at it. He should bring some back for his trainer...!]
[B] Turnbloom Market
[With a tiny coin purse in hand, the Yamask mutters a "oou-sigh" to one of the shop owners and points to a peach. When the owner tells him the price, Chen looks down at his fingers, humming in thought. He should have enough but...
He looks up to the person next to him, waving a hand to get their attention.]
Suu... 'Guuse me...
[It appears he's forgotten how much his coin translates to and needs help counting.]
[C] Rainbow Plaza
[Chenzira's staring up at the Ferris Wheel, mouth agape. It's so big...! He's seen tall buildings before but never a moving one! And there's people inside. Wow! Plus there's so many different games to play. He wishes his trainer was here so he could experience this all with him...
Obviously pokémon by themselves probably aren't allowed to ride the ferris alone. Not that he'd want to anyways. So instead he just floats there awkwardly, hoping maybe someone will come to his aide and take him on the ferris wheel with them - or play some of the other games with him.]
[ooc: Chenzira here is capable of some human speech but it's rather limited. He has trouble with pronouncing hard consonant though. If your character is capable of understanding pokémon though he's perfectly understandable outside of being mumbly.]

[Cherrygrove, Lavender, and Ecruteak have been his favorite places so far. He's looking forward to Marik moving to Lavender. That will be nice for the both of them.]

[Ash glances away wearing a somewhat longing expression. Seven months... By that point, the tournament's long over. It still pains him knowing he missed his chance on beating Leon, but he knows there's hope that one day he'll return home and be able to make up for it.
He then nods at Chenzira's question.]
Ultern's really nice! It feels a bit like Alola, where the people and Pokemon are warm and friendly like the sun. And they all get along and work together too! I think you'll like it too!

[Seeing Chenzira's kindness does lead Ash to believe his trainer might also be a nice guy too. ...Wherever he is right now. Come to think of it, the Yamask did mention a lot of places. Huh.]

[Marik is a complicated soul but Chen mostly keeps him on the straight and narrow. Chenzira himself has always been kind and gentle, slowly working through his timid nature and becoming more certain of himself over this past year.]
