[Someplace in Turnbloom City is a wandering Yamask equipped with a small leather backpack and gold bracers. His arms are curled, hands planted firmly in the straps of his backpack as he takes in the sights and sounds of this new place. He can be spotted at several different locations.]

[A] Stardust Beach

[Chenzira's closely inspecting the sand. He's experienced the sands of Goldenrod Bay and the Sevii Islands but never has he seen anything like this! He grabs a handful and holds it close to get a better look at it. He should bring some back for his trainer...!]

[B] Turnbloom Market

[With a tiny coin purse in hand, the Yamask mutters a "oou-sigh" to one of the shop owners and points to a peach. When the owner tells him the price, Chen looks down at his fingers, humming in thought. He should have enough but...

He looks up to the person next to him, waving a hand to get their attention.]

Suu... 'Guuse me...

[It appears he's forgotten how much his coin translates to and needs help counting.]

[C] Rainbow Plaza

[Chenzira's staring up at the Ferris Wheel, mouth agape. It's so big...! He's seen tall buildings before but never a moving one! And there's people inside. Wow! Plus there's so many different games to play. He wishes his trainer was here so he could experience this all with him...

Obviously pokémon by themselves probably aren't allowed to ride the ferris alone. Not that he'd want to anyways. So instead he just floats there awkwardly, hoping maybe someone will come to his aide and take him on the ferris wheel with them - or play some of the other games with him.]

[ooc: Chenzira here is capable of some human speech but it's rather limited. He has trouble with pronouncing hard consonant though. If your character is capable of understanding pokémon though he's perfectly understandable outside of being mumbly.]

[She pauses. It might be a loaded question, depending on the state of his world, or it might not. Either way, it's a simple thing anyone would ask -- everyone knows he visits Johto sometimes, has relatives in Goldenrod. And having seen other worlds' versions...]

[He counts on his fingers, mentally listing every one of Marik's friends, pausing from time to time, then looks back up at Alice.]

[She pauses with a slow blink. Thinks about it.]

Not anymore, but I did for a while. I'm actually from Cerulean. Nowadays, I suppose you could say I don't really live anywhere. It's the travelling trainer life.

[They definitely haven't been there yet. He suspects it's in Kanto since the names of the cities there are colors rather than plants.

And he's all too familiar with the trainer life, as lazy as Marik has been.]

It depends. Though under normal circumstances, very nice! It's on the ocean, so it's surrounded by waterways and has some nice water features. I do like the Good Bike shop. Well, that's not what it's usually called.

Oh, definitely some! And it's easy to bike in regular terrain, too. Or in caves, you just need to make sure you aren't running into things. Maybe I shouldn't say that, but most people don't run into things nearly as often as I do.

I just have a pronounced case of residual Voice effects manifesting as mental echoes that mimic stray commands, that's all. It's nothing serious, rarely even comes up -- well, mostly.
