mysterious places, perfect harmony

[Someplace in Turnbloom City is a wandering Yamask equipped with a small leather backpack and gold bracers. His arms are curled, hands planted firmly in the straps of his backpack as he takes in the sights and sounds of this new place. He can be spotted at several different locations.]


[A] Stardust Beach

[Chenzira's closely inspecting the sand. He's experienced the sands of Goldenrod Bay and the Sevii Islands but never has he seen anything like this! He grabs a handful and holds it close to get a better look at it. He should bring some back for his trainer...!]


[B] Turnbloom Market

[With a tiny coin purse in hand, the Yamask mutters a "oou-sigh" to one of the shop owners and points to a peach. When the owner tells him the price, Chen looks down at his fingers, humming in thought. He should have enough but...

He looks up to the person next to him, waving a hand to get their attention.]

Suu... 'Guuse me...

[It appears he's forgotten how much his coin translates to and needs help counting.]


[C] Rainbow Plaza

[Chenzira's staring up at the Ferris Wheel, mouth agape. It's so big...! He's seen tall buildings before but never a moving one! And there's people inside. Wow! Plus there's so many different games to play. He wishes his trainer was here so he could experience this all with him...

Obviously pokémon by themselves probably aren't allowed to ride the ferris alone. Not that he'd want to anyways. So instead he just floats there awkwardly, hoping maybe someone will come to his aide and take him on the ferris wheel with them - or play some of the other games with him.]


[ooc: Chenzira here is capable of some human speech but it's rather limited. He has trouble with pronouncing hard consonant though. If your character is capable of understanding pokémon though he's perfectly understandable outside of being mumbly.]

It's a small group of islands... They are treated as resorts but they don't have many people on them. I've only been to Four Island... my trainer's friends live on there. It's kind of cold right now though. They even had a bit of snow...

Oh. That is a smart move... I woke up to my trainer. Something... in my head told me... I was his. He is the best friend I've ever had.

[It's been less than a day since he arrived and while he does miss Marik, talking about him to someone feels good.]

Snow. I see. I may have to find time to go there once it's warmer.

[Cold blooded Pokemon don't do well with the cold. At the mention of the friend, Kebi actually frowns. He has no idea how to get off of this island or even what the ferry schedule is. If he could help this Pokemon, he would. All he can do now is offer some comfort.]

We won't be stuck here forever. No doubt my guildmates are looking for me. Perhaps even a few others, as well...

It's the warmest area in that region. I'm afraid I do not know the exact name of it... but there is Kanto, Johto, and Sevii.

[Chen is very dependent on his trainer. The two have been inseparable (except that month where Marik got transported into the past) since they started their journey. He's gotten stronger as time has gone on and he knows going out on his own will do him good but... he'd rather not go another month without the teen around. (Who will take care of him? Marik may be a human but he's kind of inept at some things.)]

Guildmates? There are... guilds for wild pokémon?

[Kebi nods.]

Indeed, there are. We're adventurers who try to help Pokemon out and explore places. But things can also get pretty crazy.

I see... I didn't know those were a thing...

What do you mean by crazy...?

I'm afraid I can't say all that much due to some higher ups higher than the guildmasters, but... I believe I can say my hob has the potential to lead to some very dangerous and out-of-the-ordinary situations.

[Kebi pauses speaking for a long moment.]

...And to tell you the truth, I... I actually kind of... miss it. Mostly the adventuring part.

[Thankfully Chen is familiar with secrecy and the like due to his trainer so he nods, knowing not to ask any further questions on the matter.]

Perhaps we could... find other pokémon and adventure together here...?

Perhaps... Unfortunately, there is no guildmaster here so everything would have to be unofficial.

[He shrugs.]

That's okay. You could start a side guild. I'm sure they'd understand...

Er... I'm not much for paperwork, though... The guildmasters don't generally go out exploring, They're more on the managerial side, if I may say.

[themaskkeeper]

You could... make it your own thing though. Don't need to follow how the old one was run completely.

If you needed the paperwork... I could try to write reports afterwards...

[He has hands and Marik's been slowly teaching him to write.]
