EVENT: Snoring Snorlax!

Turnbloom City is quite a nice place with friendly faces and areas to explore but isn’t it about time to go beyond the city limits? Unfortunately–...

It looks like the exits are blocked by not one but many Snorlax! It seems no one can go in or out of Turnbloom. This is a serious issue as Snorlax are known for their hibernating nature. There’s no way people can get any deliveries in or out of the city either.

What is there to do?

Maybe…there’s a way to make these groups of Snorlax to move? Time to investigate!

[monologing]

[Wow, this person sure had a lot to explain about the situation! Red of course listens politely while glancing between Looker and the Snorlax. He takes a moment to walk over to the sleeping Pokemon to place a hand upon its soft fur.

It definitely was a sleeping Pokemon. Was it a wild one? Red's glancing around trying to find any signs of a trainer, but aside from himself and Looker there seemed to be no one else at the moment.

Pulling away and crossing his arms Red frowned. This sure was a dilemma-]

...oh!

[Red will turn his bag around as he unzipped it. For a surprisingly small bag it was jammed packed with a lot of items. In fact how did a bike fit in there?]

[Before Red could even explain what he was doing, immediately another boy emerged from the nearby bushes with a camera in hand.]

Hold that pose you two!

[Despite saying that to them, Todd here is pointing his camera directly at the Snorlax.]

That's right, what a great shot!

[greatlooking]

[Well, those certainly are a pair of events occurring one right after another!

First he looked towards the surprisingly voluminous bag wielded by the young boy, eyed widening slightly in surprise as he tried to make out its contents. Now that sure was a bag of wonders! What could he be using it for? Perhaps he wishes to offer the Snorlax a bike as a peace offering? Now that's a strategy that he could not even begin to think of...

And then, before he knows it, a photographer! He sees no reason to deny the boy his request, so Looker does just that. He stands completely in place, mouth open and ready to speak, until the photograph is taken!]

I hope that was sufficient, young man! Luckily, the great Looker happens to be very photogenic! [He just assumes that he was in the shot, if not the focal point of it.] Now, what are you up to, more silent young man? I assume that you have some peace offering preparing to sweeten the deal for our tired friend!

[monologing]

[Wait, what? Huh? A photographer?! Red did exactly as the new boy said and absolutely stopped in his movements. Wait, should he be striking a pose here too like this man next to him?

Red turned his head to look at Looker who was already striking a pose. He couldn't help but think what a professional he was. He heard the snap of the camera mentally slapping himself for not striking some cool pose of his own.

As he was opening his mouth about to ask for another shot, he heard Looker speak to him. Oh, right, right he still had to rummage through his bag. Red smiled up to him, before turning his attention back to his bag. Wow, this kid sure was carrying way too many potions that was sure getting in the way of what he was trying to unearth.]

[The photographer was quick to strike and snap another picture, this time with both Looker and Red in frame. He lowered his camera down smiling as he made his way over to them.]

Sorry for startling you two. My name's Todd, I'm a photographer as you can see!

[He'll begin to explain as he held his camera up into clear view for the two. He'll then look down to Red who seemed more focus on rummaging through his bag. He was curious what the older trainer was doing but he didn't seem to be listening to him at the moment so Todd looked over to the man.]

Are you two stuck in this town because of Snorlax too? It seems like they're all over this city for some reason. From what I could gather there seemed to be a festival the night before. I wonder if they were all attracted by the food?

[greatlooking]

[It seems the young lad has a lot to learn about posing for photos. Looker might have a lot to teach to the young generation!

Looker strokes his chin as he listens to the other boy's introduction.]

No need to worry! It takes a lot more than that to startle someone like me! So you're a photographer, I see. Just as I was in the process of deducing!

In any case, my name is... Ah, you may call me Looker. I was hoping to explore more of this lovely area, but it seems the snoozing Snorlax have something else in mind! In any case, I would guess that your theory is not far off the mark! It's as they saw - if you cook it, they will come! "They" being Snorlax, of course. Naturally, they're free to eat and sneeze to their contentment, but it can be an issue when they're blocking the paths used by their fellow living creatures. That's why these negotiations are very important! I just have yet to figure out exactly what Snorlax desires in exchange for its relocation...

[monologing]

[Red looked between both Looker and Todd then to the peacefully sleeping Snorlax. It sure reminded him of the time when he traveled through Kanto and how Snorlax had blocked his path more than once. Now where was that thing that helped him-]

...found it!

[Red beams as he held up what was clearly a Pokeflute in his hand.]

[Todd nodded as he listened to Looker with rapt attention.]

I guess we could try to tempt them awake with some food...but given that it's multiple Snorlax we're dealing with we'd have to have to pool together a lot of Pokemon food for them.

[He's staring down at his camera in thought but it doesn't last as he's unable to hide his surprise when Red suddenly spoke up. He stared at the object Red held up proudly.]

A flute? I'm not sure how that's going to wake Snorlax up...
