EVENT: Winter Wonders

All over Ultern both the Pokemon and People have yet again set out decorations around the island. It seems they're all buzzing with excitement over the winter festivities this time.

In fact the keen eye just might notice there’s many unique designs, and decorations aligned together. It seemed not just the Ulternians but the drifters who live here have pitched in to put up the festive decor. Everyone was sure getting into the holiday spirit it seems.

Now, what's going on around the rest of the island...?

1. Everywhere, Anywhere...
Whatever you're doing, whoever you're with it's hard not to notice the sense of being watched. Whether you're a Pokemon or a regular person, something, or someone is clearly watching. There just might be sounds of shuffling nearby.

What could it be? Is it time to go snooping, or time to lock all the doors and enjoy some hot chocolate with whoever you're with?


2. Glitterace Town, Pokemon Center
Dr. Unoya, a Pokemon Doctor, is looking like his usual pale, tired self. His eyes however, are sharper than normal with his brows furrowed together. Not a word is uttered by the man as he seems to be glaring at the festive winter decorations that surrounded the Pokemon Center.

He was clearly not in the mood for any holidays with how he stood with his arms crossed. At least it seemed he wasn't sending any visitors away.

That'll be useful! Maybe we won't get so turned around in the caves. Though Shellock does pretty well in there. I think he used to explore places like that before I caught him.

[The Blastoise in question nods with a rumble of approval.]

Did you want some of our lunch? Don't worry, it's store-bought. I don't really cook much.

[She sits back down next to her bag and hands over one of the bento. There's tamagoyaki, vegetables, and onigiri made to look like Poké Balls. Her team seems to have enough boxes to satisfy themselves even with an extra person to share with, even if that Slaking has two all to himself.]

I figured since it's a holiday here -- well, a bunch of holidays, according to that doctor I spoke to, since everyone who drifts here seems to bring their own, which has fascinating implications for the development of the local culture -- then we might as well celebrate, right? And I think we're all sick of my cooking. I never actually learned how to do it the right way.

[Both Ash and Pikachu join in, the former sitting down and happily taking a piece of tamagoyaki, while the other curiously approaches towards Alice's Pokemon in an attempt to mingle with them.]

I'm not great at cooking either, so I usually stock up on supplies. But most of the time, my friends who traveled alongside with me in my journeys would do all of the cooking instead, so rarely did we go hungry while on the road!

[unless it's season 1 where there are instances of the gang running out of food to cook.]

[Alice's team is as weird as she is. There's Hyperbug's cannon arms and Flamesplash's fire and is that a Mew poking out from Altareon's cloud wings? And speaking of the Altaria, the fact that she's chirping in a vague imitation of Eevee noises might explain how she got her names. Regardless, they all seem happy to greet Pikachu and ask him what he's up to and what kinds of things he's seen.

As for Alice, she smiles and munches on a riceball.]

Oh, that sounds nice! I haven't been travelling in a group, aside from a couple times going out with the other -- well, people I have some things in common with. We've gone to tournaments and things sometimes, to meet people.

[Well aren't you a strange-looking bunch, Pikachu thinks to himself, but they all seem nice so far! He'll even share some of the adventures he and his partner had gone throughout their journey together.

Now Ash is happily stuffing his mouth with a couple of onigiri riceballs. Despite being taught by his mom (numerous times) that he shouldn't talk with his mouth full, he still can't help himself.]

Eeh... dib yew trabble ah lot Awwice?

[Alice laughs and shakes her head at Ash talking with multiple riceballs in his mouth.]

I've done some travelling! Well, I spent a couple of years on the road. First it was just a journey for a Gym challenge, but then I had some more important things to do.

[Trying to put the timeline back together, undo the effects of the Randomizer, bring back Red, fix people's memories. Stop her father. Even if she couldn't do it in the end. Even if she'd been made to stand in the way. But the timer didn't run out, and they made it.

And then everyone found each other in the void, and things continued.]

But after that, on occasion, I've gone with some people I know to hit up tournaments or meet new people! Haven't done it in a while, though. I had to spend a little over a year in Goldenrod with family.
