Suddenly in the midst of a Summer Festival--

There's a distinct sound of waves, and bustling of people nearby.
In the coastal city of Turnbloom the sun is bright and warm, and the scent of the sea wafts through with the cool gentle breeze that makes the glittering pinwheels spin, and the leaves on the palm tree dance.
Today the streets are extra decorated with these cute, colorful and floral shaped pinwheels. It seemed the people who were out in the streets were dressed in colorful summer attire--either casual, or the more traditional yukata. It seemed like with the booths were set out for both food and games for festival of some kind that was currently underway.
Just how did you get here, and why? A mystery, and it seemed the people in the streets didn't seem to notice anything out of the ordinary as they go about enjoying their time out on this bright sunny day.

I'm sorry to interrogate you, but—well. I imagine you're used to hearing endless questions like this, if this is common. I have one more for you. Has anybody ever witnessed it happening? This "drifting"?
no subject
[At Saturn's next question she tilts her head while idly twirling her parasol once more.]
While I personally haven't, I've heard of it from others. How someone has drifted here seems to be completely random. One moment they're home and the next they're just suddenly standing here in Ultern without a clue how they ended up here.

[As much as he hates it. A part of him does want to interrogate her, and plot out everything he can possibly find out now, and obsess over it all night, but . . . he has to temper those unreasonable feelings.]
Is it a holiday today? What a time to intrude.
no subject
Everyone drifts into Ultern under different circumstances. One person claimed they simply opened a door and stepped right into Ultern. I wouldn't be surprised if someone had entered here through a portal.
[At the mention of a holiday the woman gave a faint smile.]
It's a Summer Festival, where we get together to have a party and enjoy fireworks at night. Seeing as how you're here...
[She trailed of while looking sympathetically to Saturn.]
...I realize I don't even know what your name is. My name is Lacy. What is yours?
no subject
[He is so not dressed for a summer festival, or for any kind of normal life here at all, but one thing at a time. There's so much to take in about this situation right now. Some part of him expects to just wake up within the next few minutes anyway, making any effort he puts into getting the lay of the land here pointless, but it's probably not going to be that easy, is it?]
no subject
[Lacy's lifting her gaze up to her parasol in thought. It's then a thought hits her as she fixes her gaze back to Saturn.]
Would you like to join me? In town, I mean. Maybe a distraction can help you sort out your thoughts a little along the way.
no subject
[One of those Nos so soft it could turn into a Yes at a moment's notice. Would he like it? He's not sure. Saturn feels a compulsion to go off on his own and . . . what? That's the thing. He doesn't actually have anything better to do than explore and get the lay of the land, and that's better with a local hand guiding him. Everything still feels so urgent—figure out what's going on, figure out what he can do about it, and so on—but it isn't. He is not actually going to have any success doing those things if he excuses himself.
This is going to take a while.
So his expression falters instantly, considering:]
Are you certain . . . ?
no subject
You know, there's a saying here in Ultern. Once you meet, you're brothers--family, even. Icharibachoude! So of course I'm certain.
no subject
[He sounds it out slowly to commit it to memory, even though he himself is far from that type of person. Well, usually. He's not above getting attached quickly when the situation is right. Family, though . . .
He nods anyway.]
All right. I'll take you up on that, then. There's an awful lot to see. I'm the type of person who hates being new and not knowing things, unfortunately.
[With that, Saturn gives her a little smile. He can be self-aware.]
no subject
[Lacy offered a smile of her own. Of course his situation is not comparable to anything she has gone through. Lacy was quite sure of that fact, but it didn't have to be said out loud to be understood.
Readjusting her umbrella, Lacy will begin to lead Saturn along.]
That's right, since we're here why don't I show you where the Pokemon Center is first? It would be useful to know where that is, wouldn't it?
no subject
[And everywhere else. The whole world is battle-crazy, or so it feels like sometimes, and even a mysterious island nation Saturn's mysteriously drifted to is no exception. He follows along, taking in the sights as they walk.]
Is there a hotel, or anything along those lines . . . ? For the drifted?
no subject
[As she continued walking, various shops, restaurants and other establishments line up the streets with signs written in a script that's undecipherable to a drifted like Saturn. Right above them, colorful pinwheels are spinning against the ocean's cool breeze. A few Pidgeys are even seen perching on the wires where the pinwheels are hung.]
Hotels, inns, even this city's Pokemon Center should have rooms available for trainers and drifted alike. I'm sure there's even someone kind enough to let you stay for the night at their home.
no subject
Oh, I couldn't do that. I don't want to impose on a stranger. Though I don't know anything about your currency. But that's a simpler matter to fix than finding someone who'd take me in.
no subject
[Lacy gave pause as if recalling something, and quickly added-]
As long as it's not credit that you're using of course. Any cards anyone have brought from their home doesn't exactly work here, unfortunately.
