Suddenly in the midst of a Summer Festival--

There's a distinct sound of waves, and bustling of people nearby.
In the coastal city of Turnbloom the sun is bright and warm, and the scent of the sea wafts through with the cool gentle breeze that makes the glittering pinwheels spin, and the leaves on the palm tree dance.
Today the streets are extra decorated with these cute, colorful and floral shaped pinwheels. It seemed the people who were out in the streets were dressed in colorful summer attire--either casual, or the more traditional yukata. It seemed like with the booths were set out for both food and games for festival of some kind that was currently underway.
Just how did you get here, and why? A mystery, and it seemed the people in the streets didn't seem to notice anything out of the ordinary as they go about enjoying their time out on this bright sunny day.

He stares.
Could it be really...?]
...Jun?
no subject
Lucas? Is that really you?
no subject
Jun... Jun it's really you! [He's real.] I thought... all of that... it was all a dream...
[As he smiles, he could feel the tears beginning to well up behind his eyes.]
no subject
It helps him feel way less awkward and worried about potentially ending up in yet another strange place alone.]
I thought so too, but I guess not! It's so good to see you--did you just get here too or have you been here a while?
no subject
Actually, I just got here. I've been trying to figure out where we are right now...
[And where they are now, is still a mystery. He looks at the booths at the side and eyes on the signs.]
I can't read a lot of what's written here, they're written in some strange language. But looking at everyone else, they seem friendly enough.
no subject
But hey, now that you're here, I'm sure we can work together to figure out what to do about this new place we're in, right?
no subject
Yeah, just like old times! Hehe...
no subject
no subject
Not yet, no...
[Lucas shakes his head.]
But I guess we can either look around to find it or ask around if there is one.
no subject
Great! Let's get going, Lucas!
[And who knows, maybe they'll catch something interesting to take note of on the way there...]

Jun... It's great that we got to see each other again, but I wonder... [He starts looking a little thoughtful.] ...What happened? To the island, to you, and everyone else. Everything I remember about that place felt so weirdly vague and blurry by now.
no subject
I don't know, to be honest. Like... I remember you, and sometimes I remember other people's faces and a few things that happened on that island, but then whenever I try to remember anything else about... how we had even gotten there, or how we left it and returned back home. Then it's really fuzzy.
Like as if the whole thing had been a long dream or something, if that makes sense?
no subject
I get it. It's the same with me too. The most that I remember are a few faces, and some of the adventures we had together while on that island.
And ever since I woke up, I've wondered if any of that was real at all. I mean, I'm glad I'm no longer stuck on that island anymore, but... admittingly, I kind of miss it. I missed you, and the people I've met there. All the friends I've made...
[And he lets out a sigh while looking wistful.]
But, I'm glad I got to see you again. [A smile.] Just... I was hoping that we got to meet again, but not like this.
[He gestures to the entire scenery. You know what Lucas means, being forcefully taken into another world and all.]
no subject
Yeah, me too. I really would have wanted you to be able to meet my friends, like Hareta and Mitsumi. [There's a pause before he gives an awkward laugh and a shrug.] ... Even if that probably seems impossible without some kind of weird bending of time and space or whatever anyway. It still would have been nicer than "oh boy, here we go again getting sent away somewhere without getting asked first"!
no subject
If given the chance at all, I'd also love to have you meet my friends. Though it'd be nice to see what the Sinnoh region in your world is like too.
And so far it doesn't seem like this place could talk like the island. [A pause.] ...But I guess that's better than having to argue with it for taking us and others away from our homes.
[That island sure was a menace.
Soon enough, the Pokemon Center is in view. At the front entrance there are a pair of statues of Pokemon greeting them. On one side it appeared to be the legendary Pokemon Ho-Oh, while the other looks completely unfamiliar to Lucas. It almost looks like an Arcanine, but upon closer inspection there's a distinct difference as it has a much bigger, more wavier mane.]
Hmm, it doesn't look like any of the other Pokemon Centers I've seen back home...
no subject
[He sure is glad that this place hasn't started talking or something now that he's been reminded of that. As Jun looks up at the Pokemon Center, he recognizes Ho-oh, but the other Pokemon... not so much.]
I don't know what that Pokemon on that one side is, but the other one is Ho-oh... do you think we're somewhere in Johto, maybe?
