Suddenly in the midst of a Summer Festival--

There's a distinct sound of waves, and bustling of people nearby.

In the coastal city of Turnbloom the sun is bright and warm, and the scent of the sea wafts through with the cool gentle breeze that makes the glittering pinwheels spin, and the leaves on the palm tree dance.

Today the streets are extra decorated with these cute, colorful and floral shaped pinwheels. It seemed the people who were out in the streets were dressed in colorful summer attire--either casual, or the more traditional yukata. It seemed like with the booths were set out for both food and games for festival of some kind that was currently underway.

Just how did you get here, and why? A mystery, and it seemed the people in the streets didn't seem to notice anything out of the ordinary as they go about enjoying their time out on this bright sunny day.

This comically brazen outfit was getting a comically brazen stare. It was like one of those scenes where the sunglasses were slipping down Blue and her Charizard's noses as they watched this sight unfold, glancing at each other over their sweet shades while they sipped sodas out of straws. Just like that, just they didn't have the sweet shades [Yet]. They were sipping some tropical treats.

Was this just a weird... fan?? People were weird like that sometimes! But if she wasn't, and she really was acting suspicious as all hell for actually suspicious reasons...! Red might have been the one to bring Team Rocket toppling down the first time, but that didn't mean Blue was gonna let this go unchecked.

"Something catch your eye?"

"Eh," she shrugs, dropping the trinket in her hand back into the pile as nonchalantly as she'd picked it up. "Seems like mostly garbage, but it might be worth something to someone, I guess." Wow Mayday the stall owner is right there?? Her disinterested expression doesn't waver.

Anyway, having posted that scathing verbal review, she finally glances over to Blue and Charizard.

"What's it to you, kid?"

Wow what a winning personality. She wasn't that much younger than her, hey.

"It's just been such a long time since I've seen a novelty costume like that. A real attention grabber."

The winningest.

"Uh." Mayday blinks and looks down at her attire. "Thanks, I guess? But it's not a costume. It is sort of old, though. Some shit came up and I never got around to picking up the new uniform after I got promoted." She waves her hand dismissively, as though this was a commonly tread topic for her.

That was kind of curious, actually. A thoughtful look crossed Blue's face.

"...Not a great promotion then...?" She wondered softly, mostly to herself. What would a Rocket promotion even look like? You got three Zubats? Two whole Golbats? Fancy yellow trim??

"Sorry, guess it just seems odd since they've been dismantled for almost a decade."
