Suddenly in the midst of a Summer Festival--

There's a distinct sound of waves, and bustling of people nearby.

In the coastal city of Turnbloom the sun is bright and warm, and the scent of the sea wafts through with the cool gentle breeze that makes the glittering pinwheels spin, and the leaves on the palm tree dance.

Today the streets are extra decorated with these cute, colorful and floral shaped pinwheels. It seemed the people who were out in the streets were dressed in colorful summer attire--either casual, or the more traditional yukata. It seemed like with the booths were set out for both food and games for festival of some kind that was currently underway.

Just how did you get here, and why? A mystery, and it seemed the people in the streets didn't seem to notice anything out of the ordinary as they go about enjoying their time out on this bright sunny day.

"Hm..." Lear made a thoughtful noise once Trip spoke up. So there really was no access to the outside. He couldn't help but glance over to his Hoopa who was happily chowing on cookies that Larson was handing out to him. "Then that is a problem. That would also mean trainers won't have any access to any of their Pokemon they have left back home."

Not that it was any concern for Lear as all of his (four) Pokemon were with him, but he knew plenty of Pokemon Trainers who had caught so many and befriended many, waiting for them. Just how would the Pokemon left behind feel, or the trainers who had no way to reach out to them-

"Ah, um, excuse me?" Larson spoke up once more, from over the counter. "Sorry to interrupt your conversation, but you can always access the rest of your Pokemon through the PC over there." He glanced over to the PC right over in the lobby area. "I don't know why or how exactly but I've seen plenty of trainers who drifted here who were relieved their partners could be there with them..."

"Then... the PC can connect with the network the Professors use, right?" Trip asked, sitting up straight and turning to face Larson, hopefully. "Or can you only get your Pokemon back and not communicate with anyone...? Has anyone tried sending Pokemon back home there? Maybe with a message?"

"That...I'm not so sure how it works since all my Pokemon are from this region." Larson admitted. "But it wouldn't hurt to give it a try, right?! You should give it a try!"

"Hold on," Lear interrupted. "You shouldn't thoughtlessly encourage someone like that." He gave a sharp gaze towards Larson whose smile dropped. "If, we possibly couldn't contact anyone through those methods that would only further prove our point."

"I...I'm so sorry, I hadn't thought..." Lear held his hand up in a gesture to silence Larson.

"That said, it is worth making an attempt to see what results may bear fruit." He'll pull up one of his Pokeballs. "I will do it."

"You didn't have to be so hard on him," Trip said in a low voice, feeling a bit sorry for Larson. "... and anyway, I can handle it, same as you."

Lear simply crossed his arms in response. While he was certain Larson had no ill-intent, being so careless with his words wouldn't resolve their issues. Of course, he knew his own words could easily create a bigger problem as well.

After all, if he hadn't been so careless in the past, Team Break...

Shaking his head Lear rose from his seat once more. He'll then walk closer to the counter to place money down earning a look of surprise from the barista.

"W...wait, Leary this is too much-"

"In any case," Lear, ignoring Larson's protests turned back to Trip. "If you're so insistent, why not we both test out this new idea? There may be a chance one of the Professors may be too busy to notice a message from our Pokemon, after all."

“Right,” Trip agreed.

After rummaging around in his backpack for a non-toxic marker, he followed after Lear. As he walked, he looked at his pokeballs.
Selecting one, he sent out Lampent.

“If you see Professor Juniper or anyone else over there, show them this message, okay?”

Lampent simply blinked, then bobbed slightly in a nod. Trip uncapped the marker.

Lear on the other hand had a letter set out where he took a moment to write down a quick note. He seems to be contemplating something before turning over to his Hoopa.

"Hoopa, I need you to give this to Sawyer or Rachel. I trust that you'd find a way out of your Pokeball on your own anyway."

"Hehehehe!" Hoopa giggled in response as he took the letter. Once the mail is in Hoopa's hand, Lear recalled Hoopa back into the Pokeball. He'll turn over to Trip while noticing the younger boy scribbling onto his Lampent.

"Not that it's any of my business, but is drawing on your Pokemon a good idea?"

Trip sighed and paused his writing to bring down a sleeve and write “NON-TOXIC” on his own arm.

“The only thing we’re sure of is that our Pokemon can go through. That’s all. They could lose items, but if they pass safely through, they couldn’t lose a message that’s on their own body.”

He resumed writing an explanation, with the hopes that the Professor would read it, but it could serve as well if it were Bianca or anyone else.

Trip may not be able to see it but he's definitely narrow his eyes at the boy through his shades. Excuse you he can read-

With a scoff he'll gesture directly at the Pokeball.

"You can always write on this, can't you? Or can you not steady your own writing hand?" Look he's not trying to judge but Trip was still just a small child. His Hoopa however was giggling, not helping the situation one bit as he's tucking the mail Lear handed away.
