Suddenly in the midst of a Summer Festival--

There's a distinct sound of waves, and bustling of people nearby.
In the coastal city of Turnbloom the sun is bright and warm, and the scent of the sea wafts through with the cool gentle breeze that makes the glittering pinwheels spin, and the leaves on the palm tree dance.
Today the streets are extra decorated with these cute, colorful and floral shaped pinwheels. It seemed the people who were out in the streets were dressed in colorful summer attire--either casual, or the more traditional yukata. It seemed like with the booths were set out for both food and games for festival of some kind that was currently underway.
Just how did you get here, and why? A mystery, and it seemed the people in the streets didn't seem to notice anything out of the ordinary as they go about enjoying their time out on this bright sunny day.

[ Sonia trails off, checking for the most important thing of all-- which is happily trotting off after verifying his trainer is alive, to go track down the sources of smells both familiar and unfamiliar.
So you're probably minding your own business when you find this adorable little electric corgi thing come happily trotting in your direction, sniffing circles around you and definitely flopping over for belly rubs if you don't look like you want nothing to do with him.
Followed by-- ]
Yamper!! Will you come back here, at least let me figure out how we got ourselves in this mess--!
no subject
[A Lass trainer with flower clips on her hair crouches down at Yamper's level the moment he flops over. She reaches out to pet his belly since he offered!
Once Sonia approaches, the Lass looks up and smiles.]
Ulsai! Is this your Pokemon?
no subject
[ This is echoed a little more tentatively, but the Lass seems friendly enough and Yamper is delighted by the attention, little legs happily kicking. ]
-- Yes, he is. Thank you for slowing him down for me, actually.
no subject
[The Lass giggled seeing Yamper's happy little kicks. Who's a good boy? You are!
Glancing up to Sonia the Lass smiled.]
I've never seen a Pokemon like this before. What's his name?
no subject
Well, Oleana spares him a glance, and while it might seem as though she wants nothing to do with him at first...well, she winds up crouching down to the ground and administering bellyrubs, should the little corgi not have fled yet.
Perhaps it says something about her, that Oleana doesn't react very much to Sonia's shouting; she merely looks up when she hears Sonia's voice, expression as carefully neutral as ever.]
Ms. Sonia. So you have been brought to this island as well?
no subject
Ms. Oleana?? How-- [ Well. Not important right now. In the grander scheme of things, anyway. ]
Yes. Was it just as sudden as you?
no subject
[She doesn't sound particularly pleased, but hey, when does Oleana ever...]
...'How', though? What do you mean by that.
no subject
He looks up, only to find no one else that Sonia.
"Sonia! You're here too!"
no subject
[ Sonia looks more than a little startled (though also incredibly relieved) when she spots him, and Yamper's little zappy tail is going like crazy. ]
How-- not that I'm not pleased to see you, but please tell me you're not lost...
no subject
My apologies if I have distracted him from you, Miss! He seems to be healthy and energetic. At least there is that!
no subject
[ Yamper is just in bliss. ]
Thank you for catching him for me!
no subject
[He is still at the point of assuming his group is the only one that appeared all of a sudden, but that phrasing is suspicious.]
You are very welcome!
