Suddenly in the midst of a Summer Festival--

There's a distinct sound of waves, and bustling of people nearby.
In the coastal city of Turnbloom the sun is bright and warm, and the scent of the sea wafts through with the cool gentle breeze that makes the glittering pinwheels spin, and the leaves on the palm tree dance.
Today the streets are extra decorated with these cute, colorful and floral shaped pinwheels. It seemed the people who were out in the streets were dressed in colorful summer attire--either casual, or the more traditional yukata. It seemed like with the booths were set out for both food and games for festival of some kind that was currently underway.
Just how did you get here, and why? A mystery, and it seemed the people in the streets didn't seem to notice anything out of the ordinary as they go about enjoying their time out on this bright sunny day.

oh no it's happening againNanu manages to do a full body wince while still managing to not disturb the cats. He's had years of practice. He has a brief, regrettable pang of empathy when his eyes flit to her phone. Yeah... they're cute. He pessimistically figures she'll sneak a picture with or without his consent and getting up still isn't an option. He waves at her dismissively and then pinches the brow of his forehead. ]
Whatever, do what you want.
[ One of the Coinpur rearranges itself so its butt is on his face. He is absolutely not smiling for any of this. ]

[Was this lady practically sobbing? N-no she was not. Even if the Coinpurs were out of this world soft, fluffy and adorable little babies. Thankfully she's smart enough to not have her phone flash, or make any clicking sounds as she rapidly taps the screen for said photos.
Her expression is absolutely serious once she pulls away, seemingly sorting through the images. Once satisfied there's a sweetest smile on her face as she held her phone back up into Nanu's view.]
Is it okay if I post any of the photos onto my Pippi or Mimmeo account? I promise to not show your face for privacy!

What's a Pippi or Mimmeo...?
[ Belatedly he realizes he's just invited more conversation and makes a face at himself. ]

[The woman sounded surprised, followed by an all too dramatic gasp.]
Even my Granny uses it to post so many pictures! What do you even do on your days off Mister?! Not look at cute cat photos?!

[ He quips and gestures loosely to the Coinpur on his chest. He sounds almost baffled she would imply he wouldn't. ...Ah, she doesn't know who he is. In a way that's nice but this isn't exactly a part of him that he's going to hide.
Finally, with exaggerated effort and a performative groan, he rises into a sitting position while juggling the Coinpur in his arms so they don't roll off him like furry jellybeans. The crick in his back is a little less performative but he pays it no mind, pulling a cell phone out of his pocket.
Behold, his phone is filled with so many meowth. Pictures of them playing. Sprawled out in cardboard boxes. Sleeping in little beds he leaves out for them. On his clothes. In his lap. Over his keyboard. Eating. Outside. Just so many. Persian's there too. The more he scrolls the more he cracks a tiny smirk. ]
About a dozen or so, give or take. I lose track after a while.
[ The only thing to rival the cats in the photos is Acerola, of course. ]

[The woman is clutching her cheeks again with her eyes welling up at the sight of the photos. So many! Just so many cats!
From the way she's inhaling and letting out a giggle she's clearly overjoyed.]
...you're so so lucky! I've never seen an Alolan Meowth up close before, let alone an Alolan Persian! Their fur looks so pretty!
