Suddenly in the midst of a Summer Festival--

There's a distinct sound of waves, and bustling of people nearby.

In the coastal city of Turnbloom the sun is bright and warm, and the scent of the sea wafts through with the cool gentle breeze that makes the glittering pinwheels spin, and the leaves on the palm tree dance.

Today the streets are extra decorated with these cute, colorful and floral shaped pinwheels. It seemed the people who were out in the streets were dressed in colorful summer attire--either casual, or the more traditional yukata. It seemed like with the booths were set out for both food and games for festival of some kind that was currently underway.

Just how did you get here, and why? A mystery, and it seemed the people in the streets didn't seem to notice anything out of the ordinary as they go about enjoying their time out on this bright sunny day.

As Ash hummed in thought, his eyes trailed towards the crowd where the festival is taking place.

"...It might be faster if we split up and ask as many people as we could."

And as the gears in his head start turning, he spotted a small fountain just nearby. That seemed like a good enough landmark to remember.

"And if we find anything, let's meet up again over there! How's that sound?"

[timidlyblooming]

“That sounds like a plan to me!” Lillie said.

Alright, time to explore! Lillie stepped back, puffed out her chest (Snowy mirroring her) and gave a little salute.

“We’ll meet at the fountain!”

"Ultroger!" Ash saluted back, albeit a bit playfully as he grinned.

Now with that done, he and Pikachu waved at Lillie before sprinting off. "Later then!"

After the very enlightening and bizarre conversation with Lear, Lillie headed to the fountain to wait there.
Did she have her diary with her? She checked the contents of her bag. She frowned when she didn't find it there, but it made sense, she hadn't been expecting to come here, so she couldn't have packed it.
She should buy a new diary... there was a lot she felt she needed to write down.

As for Ash, he's had quite an adventure himself after meeting with old friends and new ones too. But remembering that promise he had with Lillie, he and his Pikachu sprinted towards their destination, and soon enough he found her near the fountain as agreed upon.

"Lillie!" Ash called out to her, and waved. "So, how'd it go? Did you find anything about this place?"

“Ash! … um, I have!”

Lillie stood up, thinking about how to phrase this.

“Do you remember when we had to go to Ultra Space to bring my mother back?”

"Hm? Yeah, I remember." Ash nodded, now wondering where Lillie's going at.

[timidlyblooming]

“… it’s like that. We’re in some sort of world where the usual rules don’t make sense. Some kind of world outside of time and space… there’s someone that knows a version of you and a version of me, but this other Lillie trains a Clefairy like I wanted to, before mother evolved it.”

She crossed an arm and brought a closed fist to her chin (if she had a beard, she’d stroke it scholarly! But she doesn’t…).

“… we might be dealing with alternate realities, diverging in different points…”

"Oh!" Okay now Ash could see Lillie's line of thought. "Yeah, Trip told me something about being in another world too."

Though the very last bit that Lillie mentioned did went lost on Ash, what made sense to him was that they're not in their home world anymore. It looked like they're on the same page so far.

"Kinda weird, don't you think? I wonder what brought us into Ultern in the first place?" Ash crossed his arms in thought. "'Cuz I don't remember entering into an Ultra Wormhole, or a Gate, or anything like that."

[timidlyblooming]

"If Rotom were here, he'd call this a mystery," Lillie said with a slight laugh, although her overall tone remained serious. "... which wouldn't be wrong, really. There's a lot of things we still aren't sure of..."

Ash couldn't help but chuckle at that. Yeah Rotom probably would say that, he thought to himself.

"Well if there's a mystery, I'm sure we'll be able to solve it somehow!" Letting his optimism shine, he wore a broad smile. "We're still the Ultra Guardians, y'know! We've done mysteries like these! So we just gotta work together to figure this out and find our way back!"

That was the Ash that helped her overcome her feard! Lillie could feel her courage growing steadily, even if she still felt some hesitation and worry, trust and confidence, both in herself and her friends, were quickly overtaking them.

“Ultroger!”

Good to see Lillie's looking just as determined as he is. Even if they're stuck in another world, they can't exactly give up just yet!

"As for me, I found out a few of my friends are here too. And just like us, they don't know how they got here." Which only adds more to the mystery, he thought. "And also, I saw a Blissey that looks really different from the Blisseys we usually see back home. It's really interesting!"

He then pulled out his Rotom Phone to show Lillie the yellow-colored Ulternian Blissey.

"The Ultern Region is really something. I bet there's even more Pokemon I've never seen before around here too!"

“It looks so cute… and so different!”
Lillie especially liked the apron-like pattern. She wanted to get to know more of the Pokemon here…

“It’ll be an interesting story to tell my family, won’t it, Snowy? I’ll definitely need a new journal after all!”

Snowy barked in agreement, waving its tails excitedly.

“It seems they use the same currency from home… my money was accepted here!”

"Isn't it?" Ash nodded in agreement. "I can't wait to see the look on Goh's face when he sees this!"

Once the topic shifted to currency, Ash looked surprised after hearing what Lillie told him.

"Woah, really? That's good to hear! I guess we wouldn't have to worry about that then."

The fact that whether or not the kind of money they carry would be accepted didn't cross his mind at all. Then again, everyone at home seemed to accept the cash he has on hand throughout his travels. So rarely does that thought even occur to him.

How strange.

"...Hey Lillie." Though he called her name, he was instead looking at the people passing by as they enjoy the festivities. "Here we are in a brand new world, faced with a new mystery, with new people to meet, and maybe more new Pokemon to find..."

And then he grinned at his friend.

"Isn't that exciting?"

[just felt like one more reply would be a neat place to draw it close o/]

Lillie nodded eagerly. "It is, it's like a new adventure! I'm glad you'll be sharing it with me, Ash, Pikachu... and of course, Snowy," Lillie gave Snowy a hug as Snowy curled into her with its tails fluffing up.

Setting sail for another adventure...!
