Suddenly in the midst of a Summer Festival--

There's a distinct sound of waves, and bustling of people nearby.
In the coastal city of Turnbloom the sun is bright and warm, and the scent of the sea wafts through with the cool gentle breeze that makes the glittering pinwheels spin, and the leaves on the palm tree dance.
Today the streets are extra decorated with these cute, colorful and floral shaped pinwheels. It seemed the people who were out in the streets were dressed in colorful summer attire--either casual, or the more traditional yukata. It seemed like with the booths were set out for both food and games for festival of some kind that was currently underway.
Just how did you get here, and why? A mystery, and it seemed the people in the streets didn't seem to notice anything out of the ordinary as they go about enjoying their time out on this bright sunny day.

Oh, Oleana, just what have you gotten yourself into...
[Don't mind the elegantly dressed woman checking on herself at the beach, she's...visibly stressed, but it's probably fine. Hopefully.
Once she makes it to the streets proper and gets a look around, well, she'll be flagging just about anyone down who'll give her the time of day--that may, in fact, include you as she walks up at a brisk pace, all business-like.]
Hold a moment. Which way do I go to get back to the Galar region? I have a matter of utmost importance to attend to, and I cannot afford to dally.
[All business, and to just about anyone, she seems perfectly composed. She's in fact, anything but.
Once the realization dawns that she's stuck here, Oleana...well, she doesn't quite make herself scarce, but she does seclude herself towards the Outskirts a bit. One might think it's due to not taking the news well and wanting to find a way out, but the stench of something might catch your nose pretty quick before you find Oleana.
You'll find her with her Garbodor, and it seems like she's procured some treats from the festival for the trash heap Pokémon, and she couldn't possibly be happier with what her trainer has managed to procure as she sits down while Oleana stands. Can't stand the idea of getting dirty, even in this sort of state. But it's the softest one might see Oleana, as she reaches out a hand to idly pat her partner as she gobbles up her spoils.]
...Well, it does do my heart good to see you enjoy yourself. Please, indulge as you see fit, my friend.
[You're free to join her if you want! She might not mind company. ...Might, being the key word.]
((OOC: i am sticking purely to brackets, but feel free to hit me with whatever you like!))
streets
Sorry, no luck yet. I'm from the Unova region... Trip from Nuvema town.
Pleased to meet you, ma'am.

Oleana; Vice President of Macro Cosmos. It is a pleasure, despite the circumstances.
[Her tone is slightly stiff, though it's mostly due to professionality; wouldn't want to appear anything less. Still, she does perk a bit at the mention of the Unova region.]
I see. So it would be right to assume that you are rather far from home as well. [Hmm.] Have you found any information from the locals, about where we are located?
no subject
Information that raises more questions than it answers, unfortunately.
This city is called Turnbloom. The region is called Ultern. Ever heard of it?
[He certainly hadn’t, that much was clear.]
no subject
That is--! [Oleana's eyes widen briefly, before she schools her look back down.] ...Well. I suppose that my theory that we may have been off the coast of Undella or in the Alola region is swiftly dashed.
But no; Macro Cosmos does business elsewhere, but even in our travels, we have never heard of a region known as Ultern at all.
[Oleana's feet find themselves tapping against the ground, arms crossing as she considers this.]
...The last thing that I remember is searching a gravesite for the Chairman. What we were doing last, could that have something to do with it? I would not like to assume that I was spirited away by a Ghost Pokémon, but I am now one irritated Oleana at these circumstances.
no subject
Did the Chairman...
[Die? He caught himself at the last moment, asking that might be too intrusive, he realized.]
Definitely not Undella, that's for sure, and the festival looks more like something you'd see in Kanto or Johto than Alola...
no subject
The chairman has not passed, and I'll thank you to not imply that again. He was merely sighted there. No more than that.
[...trip you do not deserve this, she is just very defensive over the chairman okay--]
But you are correct. I believe I have heard of such festivals in the likes of Ecruteak City, or perhaps even Olivine City...but it almost seems as if the cultures have been made all their own, in this unique place.
That is simply my theory, of course. It would likely be worth some further research.
1/2
I… didn’t know, I misunderstood. Won’t happen again, ma’am. I promise.
2/2
[Even less talkative than he was before, good job scaring the quiet kid, Oleana! Although he does his best to hide it with an apathetic expression, he was definitely trying to let this conversation die faster by clipping it short.]
no subject
Still, Oleana does note the sudden change in demeanor, and her body language...well, it doesn't relax because it never relaxes, but she does calm a bit at the apology.]
It's as if we're in an entirely different world than the one we came from. Perhaps it would be prudent to get an idea of our surroundings and ask around, then.
[Oleana will start to make to walk past Trip, only pausing slightly once she makes her way by. She sighs at herself, before turning briefly and...]
I simply ask that you do not speak about the Chairman in such a manner again...Trip, yes? But I would like to speak to you again, once we have had a chance to gather information, should you be amendable.
[...It's about as close to an apology as Oleana gets, but like, let it be known she doesn't hate the kid at least.]
[if you’d like to play them meeting again here or in the festival thread, that’d be cool! o/
Mm. [That’s the plan, yes.
He was going to part ways, in grateful relief, but was surprised by her pause and the sigh and moved to watch her again.
It might not have been a direct apology, but he could still understand her intent, and getting any sort of apology, however vague, from ab adult was a rare thing, so he couldn't help smiling, esteeming Oleana in his heart.]
I’d be more than happy to, Oleana ma’aam.
beach
Taking a casual stroll with Hoopa trailing behind did he take note of Oleana. Ah, having sand in your shoes was an uncomfortable feeling. One he could relate to having had that experience in the past. Although as he's watching her for a brief moment he found himself struck with a thought, as he decided to approach closer.]
You there, are you perhaps lost here as well?
no subject
Ah. Oleana crosses her arms a bit, defensively, as she looks him over. This man seems...well, he looks like he crawled out of Kalos with that look, but--]
Yes, I am. I had assumed that I might be the only one who wound up in this strange place, but it would seem there are more than I initially thought. [Her gaze goes more neutral at that.] Tell me, have you any memory of anything before your arrival?
no subject
At Oleana's question, he too crosses his arms while idly tapping on one of his forearms with his pointer finger.]
Yes, I do. I remember being in Pasio, making plans for the next up and coming tournament there.
[He gives pause to the tapping to stare at the woman before him through his shades. She looked familiar--and based on her accent, was she from the same region as the Galar Champion, Leon?]
How about yourself?
