Suddenly in the midst of a Summer Festival--

There's a distinct sound of waves, and bustling of people nearby.

In the coastal city of Turnbloom the sun is bright and warm, and the scent of the sea wafts through with the cool gentle breeze that makes the glittering pinwheels spin, and the leaves on the palm tree dance.

Today the streets are extra decorated with these cute, colorful and floral shaped pinwheels. It seemed the people who were out in the streets were dressed in colorful summer attire--either casual, or the more traditional yukata. It seemed like with the booths were set out for both food and games for festival of some kind that was currently underway.

Just how did you get here, and why? A mystery, and it seemed the people in the streets didn't seem to notice anything out of the ordinary as they go about enjoying their time out on this bright sunny day.

[monologing]

Red looked over to Chumee with much intrigue. Ooh, wow this had to be one of the baby Pokemon discovered in Johto! She's so cute! It's clear what his opinion was on Chumee from how wide his smile was.

Looking back over to Crystal he tilted his head.

"...you're not?" He questioned while moving closer to her, forgetting a thing called personal space as one do (no Red).

[allthemons]

Crystal leans away a bit considering how Red is acting with this space infiltration, but she is trying to write it off somewhat as she shrugs.

"I am, I'm just saying Chumee definitely is."

[monologing]

Oh, of course! Chumee there was having a time of her life. He's nodding in agreement while glancing over to Chumee.

"...!" Red as if remembering something lightly tapped the palm of his hand with his fist. That's right! He never really talked to Crystal outside of battle before. Now's the chance to bond and be...FRIENDS!

"Hey, Kris...did you get to see the fireworks?"

[allthemons]

Crys blinks a bit at Red with that question, ever so slowly she is getting even more suspicious about this.

"Yeah I saw them, it's hard to miss something like fireworks."

[monologing]

Silly question, of course she'd be focused on the fireworks and not at all the Pokemon the people had around them. Red gave a sheepish look while rubbing the back of his head.

"...I really liked the Pikachu shaped ones. You?"

Oh no! He's making awkward small talk!! ABORT ABORT- except Red can't think of anything other to say, as the trainer in front of him was full of mysteries. Where was she from? Johto? She must be from Johto with the Pokemon she had on her team when she challenged him.
