Suddenly in the midst of a Summer Festival--

There's a distinct sound of waves, and bustling of people nearby.

In the coastal city of Turnbloom the sun is bright and warm, and the scent of the sea wafts through with the cool gentle breeze that makes the glittering pinwheels spin, and the leaves on the palm tree dance.

Today the streets are extra decorated with these cute, colorful and floral shaped pinwheels. It seemed the people who were out in the streets were dressed in colorful summer attire--either casual, or the more traditional yukata. It seemed like with the booths were set out for both food and games for festival of some kind that was currently underway.

Just how did you get here, and why? A mystery, and it seemed the people in the streets didn't seem to notice anything out of the ordinary as they go about enjoying their time out on this bright sunny day.

[Red looked puzzled. Another dance? The only dance he knew was the Bon Odori himself, but the people around him sure were moving a bit more animatedly, along with their arms.

Looking back to Lillie, Red lifted the brim of his cap to show a clearer look of his face. A confident grin soon followed. He wasn't about to make Lillie try and do the same dance if she didn't want to!]

....yeah, sure! Let's dance together.

[timidlyblooming]

[Then, Lillie will curtsy, then step back and dance... a waltz with thin air. It looks silly and isn't really keep in step with the music at all! Maybe she should just try something else?]

[monologing]

[Oh wow! It was certainly not a dance he has seen in person (on TV, definitely). While it was mismatched with the upbeat music, it sure suited the younger girl. Red however was determined to learn whatever this dance was!

He glanced around the people around him who were moving in beat to the music. Raising his arms up like the other dancers who were swaying their arms about. Okay, this was kind of fun!

Turning to Lillie, Red's offering an encouraging smile her way.]

This is fun too...!

[timidlyblooming]

Alright... I'll give it my best shot!

[As a show of determination, Lillie took a hairband, pulled her hair back into a high ponytail, and imitated the others very seriously! She might initially be too stiff about it, but it'll become more fluid with practice!]

[monologing]

[Red laughs, which of course wasn't at Lillie. It was out of delight when he saw her determination as she began to dance too.

Red too will do his best to copy the other dancers, even if part of it was him staring trying to figure out their movements. The dance looked so easy, but it was a little hard being as good as the other more experienced dancers.]

That's the spirit kids! Let's dance the night away!

[One of the dancers commented to them before they followed up with a loud whistle in tune with the music, seemingly to further encourage the two.]

[Lillie didn't think Red's laugh was a mean-spirited one, it sounded very kind, and the whistle and encouragement from the other dancer filled her heart with joy and bravery. She kept on dancing, even if it wasn't perfect yet, to the music and the chorus of voices rising into the summer sky... ]

[Red too was enjoying the moment as the crowd around them continued their dance, and encouragement of people to join in. He glanced over to Lillie and felt satisfied realizing the younger girl too was having a blast.

Whatever this festival was about it was nice to dance away the night with seemingly no care in the world. The dance was definitely different from what he was used to, but from the gentle sway of the arms, to the rhythmic steps of the other dancers, Red couldn't help but be in a good mood.

Looking back to Lillie once more, he couldn't help but talk to her.]

This is fun, isn't it?

It is!
[Lillie laughed, light and airy, before turning back to Red.]

Excuse me—never learned your name!

I’m Lillie!

[monologing]

Oh, she had a point they hadn't introduced one another at all. Lowering his arms, Red nodded in response to Lillie.]

...'m Red, from Pallet Town.

Really? It's nice to meet you, Mr. Red!

I have a friend from Pallet Town too, you look a lot alike! Except he's younger...

Are those kinds of clothes popular there?

[monologing]

[Someone else from Pallet Town, but they're younger?

Red's cupping his chin looking thoughtful. Who could it be? Was he around? Red couldn't help but take a look around their surroundings but there were far too many people dancing to really pinpoint anyone around.

At the mention of his clothes Red glanced down at them still contemplative.]

....they're easy and comfortable to move in?
