COOKING MEME: Ultern Edition

No matter in the fire, water, through grass or the forest--eating is essential! Even in the sunny and peaceful island region of Ultern people are out and about getting ready for today's meal. Now, what's on the menu for today?

 

1. Kame Kame Attack
You want to show just how much you care through your food! Even if the person (or pokemon) is stuffed, they need to eat more! They're so thin and withering away! What better way than to tell them there's always seconds or thirds?

2. One Minute Cooking
Is it your first time in the kitchen? Do you want to improve on how to cook? Time to turn to a friend or family member for help!

3. Koffing Class Curry
WHAT EVEN IS A BAKING SHEET? Oh my Arceus what am I doing?! Who even eats goya or yago anyway?! Everything is happening so much in the kitchen! You're a hot mess (as is the kitchen!), and you can't help but panic. Who do you call in a pinch like this?!

4. My stomach's growling like crazy!
Man that smells so good... what's there to eat?! You're just so starving you're withering away. If only there was someone with a nice meal to the rescue. Or are you able to fight your stomach and go down to the closest store to grab some food?

5. Augh...my stomach…
What was in that meal just now? The person who gave it to you meant well probably, but their cooking skills are not up to snuff. Is there a polite way to tell them to stop? Or perhaps it’s beyond the point of being polite. Either way it’s time to stop before anyone else falls victim!

6. REVENGE BENTO
Revenge is a dish best served cold. Or y’know be a bento box with nothing but rice in it with nori bits spelling out “curry” while claiming you made curry for lunch. Or whatever other petty ideas that are in store to make the receiver of this meal to get your message.

[Well if she insists, Ash doesn't ask any more. Though that feeling still lingers...]

Is it?

[Ash takes another look at his Dracovish, who now looks back at his trainer curiously. He sees a big fish head, and weirdly-shaped green body. Though it does look a little mismatched looking at it again. Huh.]

...I guess it kind of does now that you mention it.

[He never stopped to think about Dracovish's appearance more until Sada pointed it out. Then again, he's not a scientist.]

I just figured all the Dracovish looked like this a long time ago from what they told me. But this guy's really friendly, I can tell you that much!

[That was sobering. Her casual grin dropped and she stared at him with those slitted pupils. The pokemon seemed calm enough.]

Has he always been this way? From my experience, older species of pokemon are more volatile.

[Ash turns around to look at Dracovish, and sees the Pokemon opening its mouth...]

[Luckily Ash doesn't look like he's in pain despite its sharp fangs. But he does look mildly annoyed.]

[For a second she just blinked, then her eyes closed and she grinned again. This was fine. Just a play nibble, Koraidon had done the same. That too had been fine...until it'd gotten a bit too playful chasing Wingull....

...ANYWAY.]

I see. He seems young, you better raise him well.

[Do better than the professor had.]

Did you come here for something to eat?

Well, not really...

[Suddenly Ash's stomach begins to growl. He places his hand over it and looks at Sada sheepishly.]

But now that you mention it, I'm starting to feel a little hungry, eheh...

She blinked at the gurgle, eyes widening for a second. Then she snickered. Then the unease set in again, her thoughts contrasting with her creator's. ]

...You know how to prepare food?

[She hesitated.]

[He shakes his head.]

I can't say I'm great at the kitchen, my Mom always cooks for me. But I don't mind helping out!

[See that smile? He looks pretty eager to offer a helping hand.]

I've never cooked anything complex. But it shouldn't be too hard. [She'd never cooked anything. And the professor had the most basic kitchen, microwave meals and things that could cook without being watched.

She managed a smile. Then glanced at the mess... Just going to brush that aside. Into the sink with that.]

How about sandwiches?

[She was already looking for bread. They had to have the things needed for that here, right?]

[While Sada puts away the mess, Ash goes ahead to recall his Dracovish back into its ball, leaving Pikachu as the only Pokemon present. pretend he's been there the whole time]

I think sandwiches sound great!

[Luckily for both Ash and Sada, the kitchen is packed with all the essentials needed for sandwich-making. There's bread in the bread box, there's a fruit bowl nearby, and there's even a pantry full of condiments too.]

We'll go ahead and find some fillings, ma'am!

[Just as he's about to move away, it occurs to him that it'd be rude to barge into someone's kitchen without introducing himself.]

Oh yeah, I forgot. I'm Ash from Pallet Town, and this is my buddy Pikachu! [The mouse Pokemon greets Sada.] It's nice to meet you!
