[So, primarily because ~~Trip can be still be unexpectedly timid sometimes~~ Trip's not keen on the idea of calling into a radio show, he's going to try and mention Ken instead... except he doesn't know his username either, so. It seems he'll have to ask around...]

[The question's also one others might have answers too, so he'll make two posts about it, shortly after one another! They're public ~~peep~~ Pippi posts, so everyone else can see them too!]

[The (very new and nearly empty?) account's not very helpful in identifying him, the profile picture is scenery, although Serperior's silhouette might vaguely be recognizable in it, the location is "who wants to know?" and the bio is just a link to his Mimmeo... it might look suspicious or creepy, but it's rather unintentional!
He's just keeping a low profile and not really much of a Pippi user. His linked Mimmeo is definitely more active, although there's long stretches of inactivity (whenever he gets drifted home—two images are years apart, both during Tanabata? One at the festival proper, another aa cafe, enjoying a meal with a Yamask, it seems...), but it dates back at least three years, and has lots of photographs he's taken, although none are of himself. Just scenery, Pokemon (his own Unovan Pokemon and Ulternian ones he's seen, wild and trained), and quite a few of cafe desserts, and, more recently, and clumsy/modest attempts at cooking.]

[Several hours after Trip posted this, Ken logs on to Pippi on his computer after work, using his personal account. Spotting the question, he smiles and copies the link to the peep to reply to it later on his work account, but then he spots the same person's other question and pauses, frowning.

It couldn't be... someone else from his world?

...This called for a more subtle approach. Just in case. The chances were low, but... he had to check.

Using his personal account that didn't have much info to identify him (thanks to Buson and Gold for teaching him internet safety), he took a moment to think before responding.]

[Anyone who's from Ken's world would probably recognize the name of the city in his url, and if not, they might at least mention being from the same world in response to a question like that, right?

The account Ken was using was mostly for memes, random Pokemon facts, and chatting with people. Nothing private or very personal on this account, not even pictures of his Pokemon or photos he'd taken himself.]

[Ugh. That username had him sneering in disgust and hovering over the block button, just because it looked like a spammy bot, but... hold on, they're actually answering his question?]

T. @(ghostprince) replied: I'm not, I just heard him a few times. I don't listen to the radio much, so... do you know the show's name?

[That'd make his search easier! Trip's hopeful! He even checks the kind of loud and garish looking account, to see if maybe there's a lead, but no, it's just. Memes! And facts, yeah. He's getting a headache...]

[In his defense, Gold was his main advisor in creating this account!]

[...That's also a thing he learned from Gold! "Annoy people and say something obviously wrong and they'll want to correct you!" He can tell from looking at this mysterious "T"'s Mimmeo account that they've been here for a while, but there's nothing indicating where they're from... Unless the url is literal and they're an actual prince of ghosts?]

[Aaaand he swallows it all, hook, line, and sinker! Immediately upset and feeling the need to correct Ken.]

T. @(ghostprince) replied: It is not! I've been here several times before, even stayed nearly a year! I just don't listen to the radio, I like my peace and quiet.

[Well, if that didn't sound tacked-on... he's going to search variants of kenspokemontalk, pokemontalk, pokemon talk, ken pokemon talk... into the search bar until a username shows up. Hopefully the real thing and not a parody!]

[Wow, it really works! Ken does frown at the answer, leaning back in his chair thoughtfully. The person is polite, but still... Why would someone that doesn't listen to radio want to talk to Ken?]

[Because Ken does get those types rarely... Ultern is a nice environment with kind people, but there's always the few outliers. Ken hopes he won't have to block this person, though.

Ken's professional account's url is actually chura_radio_ken, and his username is just DJ Ken, but he's verified and has a mention of being the host of Ken's Pokemon Talk in his profile! That account has photos of Ken's Cubburn and Ulternian Ledyba, and a few photos of food and drinks, but most of his posts are replies to fans or re-peeps of things like announcements of local events or radio programming ads or his fellow radio hosts' peeps. Much more professional and stylish than this account, and much less often used.]

[Oh, boy... how did he give off that impression? Trip frowned, wondering how to respond to this...]

T. @(ghostprince) replied: Sorry. A friend of mine mentioned Ken having an Ultern in his world, but not... he didn't elaborate very much, we were both kind of tired, so I wanted to see if I could contact him myself.

[It takes Trip a little while to think of searching for DJ Ken, but he's happy to see it's verified! The Pokemon sure are cute... he remembered the Cubburn that he and Gold met that day...

Should he write a new message? Directly message him? Can he do that? Would he answer? Maybe it's run by somebody else and not Ken himself, but...]

[Ah... That crushes that theory. But, well, seems like this person's just somebody who doesn't listen to the radio much. Ken's definitely mentioned his world's version of Ultern on radio before, though he prefers not to talk about his world much over the waves since it just confuses people... Sounds like someone who remembered that little detail must've talked about it to this T person. Probably one of those superfans.

But now what should he do...? Reveal who he is over PMs or wait until this person contacts his main account? Yeah, better to just talk over the official account since he doesn't know who this is. Hopefully the conversation won't delve too much into anything private about Ken's world.]

[Well, at least that gave him a pretty good lead! He'll try and send a direct message, if Ken's official account allows! If not, he'll just... mention him in the same peep he made earlier. He's not rewriting all that.

... is he likely to read it? Maybe copy and paste the original text into it--does that look spammy? Ugh, whatever!

[Ken's official account doesn't allow direct messages from people he's not following! That's the curse of fame.

Anyway, Ken's in no rush. It'd be suspicious to just immediately respond to that, right? So he browses a bit more, then logs out, has himself a meal, goes about his day for a while, then logs on to his official account and searches out that T or ghostprince person to see if he's reached out for him.

It's been a bit less than two hours, has Trip tried contacting him in any other ways in that time?]

[Fortunately, he reaches out, once he realizes he can't directly message him, by mentioning him in a (new) peep!]

DJ Ken@(chura_radio_ken) replied: Sure! Always happy to share info with people ready to learn! The "Ultern" in my world is a part of the Nihon Region called the Southwest Islands. I haven't been there myself, but I hear it's similar to Ultern: a place full of easy-going, friendly people. There are no Pokemon Gyms, but it's a popular destination for tourists and Trainers! If I ever go back, I'd sure like to take a vacation and check it out for myself, too!

No Pokemon Gyms, but popular with tourists... sounds like kind of like our Decolore Islands! Alola's like that too...

DJ Ken@(chura_radio_ken) replied: Plenty of them! Seems there's Pokemon living there that are rare to see in the mainland Nihon Region! But if you're curious if there are similar Pokemon as Ultern, then the answer is yes! A lot of Pokemon that are considered Ulternian here also live in both Nihon and the Southwest Islands. However, many species have different names in my world!

DJ Ken@(chura_radio_ken) replied: For example, my Flambear here is actually a Pokemon from my world! He's called a Cubburn here, but Flambear is the name of his species in Nihon!

Were the Pokemon different in name only or also appearance?

In name only! They look the same, however, there are some tales of Pokemon in Ultern that don't exist in Nihon. For example, the belief that Cubburn can sense the good and evil in people's hearts is well-known in Ultern, but unheard of in Nihon! It's unknown whether that's a difference in the Pokemon themselves or the culture around them, but isn't that fascinating?
But, on a related note, Ulternian variants of some Pokemon are the normal "Nihonese" versions of the Pokemon in my world! As an example, Ledyba are normally green in my world, but in this world that variant is considered an Ulternian Ledyba!

Ken's had to explain these same concepts many times, but he doesn't mind it at all. Sharing Pokemon facts is one of his favorite things, and he even gets paid to do it on radio!]

[Huh, he uses those less-than-three hearts... must be an old guy. Most people nowadays use emoji or those unicode hearts, right?]

[Oh... he almost felt a little disappointed, but it's fine, he didn't really think he had a good heart, anyway... it was just nice to almost believe it...

This person sure loved to talk, no wonder he gets along with that Pokemon Facts person... Trip both really loves the facts, but also, feels a little tired out from all the text! This guy must go over the character limit a lot, huh?

That's a really great shot! Yeah, in my world, they're red. They're mostly found in Johto, but, as those islands I mentioned have Pokemon from other regions too.. they can be found there too! Ours aren't a special colour or look particularly different from Johto's, so they don't have a special name...

[Oh, but, that's interesting, for Ulternian Pokemon to have a name means having other regional forms to compare it to, doesn't it? Did they acquire that name only after seeing drifted Ledyba?]

[Technically, Ken would've been born in the late 80's in his world, so you could say that! But he also just prefers the old-school emoticons and technology even after adjusting to this world.

Well, it's not like Ken's ruling out the idea that it's true! Maybe Flambear in his world also have that ability but the stories about it aren't as well known, or maybe Cubburn have that ability while Flambear don't!

...Ken does go over character limit sometimes, yeah...]

I wonder why the uncommon ones were named after Ultern...

DJ Ken@(chura_radio_ken) replied: Ah, no, the green ones are more common in Ultern! I meant they're more common in rest of the world. The green Ledyba were named after Ultern because drifters called them that!

[...That brings a good point, though. Since Ultern is so isolated and you can't leave it, people of Ultern might just assume the rest of the world has red Ledyba because everyone visiting seems to know Ledyba are red. But is there even a world outside Ultern, or do Ulternians just assume the rest of the world is there and resembles the worlds people drift from?

...Is there any proof anything outside of Ultern exists in this world?

Ken leans back in his chair and stares at his ceiling for a long moment.]
