Stardust Beach - Traveller

[A rather confused Trip might be found wandering the beach today! It seems he's drifted back in for the first time in a while (not counting his younger self who's been staying at the Professor's place)... well, at least he's already dressed for the beach, with a sun hat, (oversized, hiding nearly half his face) shades, capris, and a breezy (very orange) shirt! But, there's just one little problem...]

Pokemon Center - Takeover

[Nurse Emi was supposed to be off today, wasn't she? Yet, it seems she's come to work anyway! Quite the workaholic, isn't she? ... or is it her? She seems to be acting, well, strange...

She's lazily flung herself, ragdoll-like, as if she isn't quite sure what to do with her limbs, into a seat behind the desk and is rudely bossing around the Pokemon Nurses like a little despot! She didn't have to be here today, why is she being so mean?! Maybe she's not feeling well? It seems like nothing's good enough for her!

She isn't even really doing any work, she's mostly just... drinking jasmine tea. She's been drinking cup after cup of jasmine tea with no end in sight.]

[Not at the beach or the Pokemon Center today? That's alright, a bored and mischievous Ghost type Pokemon could bring chaos and confusion to your home, too! Is that where you left that thing? [Trip suddenly felt concerned. Was this just a strangely stoic boy who's newly drifted? He brought out his PokeDex anyway, but still eyed Ace warily. Did he need help...? Or is he just talking about missing people from home?]

Yeah, but it was some time ago. It's fine now.

[He will peer curiously at the PokeDex, before focusing on what was on screen. So that's what Frillish looked like? Pokemon... he's never gotten close to one. Suddenly, he felt wary. Maybe this was a bad idea...? He could just run, right? Surely this kid won't chase after him?

He glanced over to Trip when noticing he was looking at him. What was on his mind? He wasn't quite sure. So he'll laugh, and smile over to Trip. People tended to not hit him as hard when he appeared friendly!]

I... see... sorry to hear that.

[Man, what a depressing thought. He felt awkward, not knowing how to comfort someone he's only just met. Should he pat him on the shoulder? No, they're not close enough to do that yet, so... he just stood there, stiffly, frowning.]

[Huh? Was there something Trip had to be sorry about? Ace was genuinely puzzled by the other's reaction. No one really cared if he had even offhandedly mentioned anything.

He was about to ask but seemed he had now made Trip flustered. Ace laughed again, a smile still on his face.]

Ehehe...don't worry. I'm used to getting stared at. It's my eyes right?

[He'll say while fixing his bangs to mostly hide his red eye. That usually creeped people out...]

So...about Frillish...

[Stupid! Don't tell him it's his skin or hair!

Trip's gaze flitted between Ace's face, his hair, then back again and he just looked even more awkward.]

There's nothing... wrong with your eyes. They're—pretty cool, actually.

[At least, he started to both look and sound more confident, if a bit forceful... he even brought out his camera!]

In fact, I'd like to take your picture, because I've never seen anyone with eyes of different colours before!

... he's one of my Pokemon, a Unova Pokemon. A Water and Ghost type Pokemon who resembles a blue jellyfish with, well, frilly and veil-like tentacles... here.

[He'll show Ace Frillish's entry on his PokeDex! That's a... concerning entry...
'Frillish, the Floating Pokémon. Frillish can constrict its foes using its veil-like tentacles and numb them with poison. It is said to live in dens some five miles below sea level.']

[There's a brief, questioning look from Ace. He will look somewhat surprised as Trip commented more on his eyes. It's when he brought out a camera, that Ace's eyes grew wider. Weren't those things expensive? Was it okay for him to hold it out like that in public view?

Before he could even comment on it, the topic was back to Frillish. Ace moved his gaze to Trip's Frillish, surprised.]

Oh, that's so...

[He trailed as his expression brightened.]

It's real pretty! I can see why someone would want to steal one.

[He'll say, not really thinking about the issue of that statement.]

[Trip tilted his head, wondering if Ace was uncomfortable with having his picture taken... or just confused. Hadn't he seen one before? ... was he from the past, maybe?

He lowered the camera, but smiled to see Ace's genuine admiration of Frillish, puffing with pride.]

Yes, they're very beautiful... my Frillish, too. That's basic, isn't it?

[He winced at the suggestion someone might steal it.]

... somewhere else, maybe, but I don't think the people of Ultern would steal a Pokemon... even putting aside from how kind they are, even to us drifted, it's hard to hide a Pokemon like Frillish. It's not native to the area. People will ask questions, unless... someone's hiding him and keeping him locked up somewhere, like some kind of decoration...

[Just the idea was upsetting to Trip! He grit his teeth, strongly disliking it! It can't be right.]

[Was it basic knowledge for people to know how pretty Frillish is? Another look of surprise from Ace, not realizing his lack of knowledge on Pokemon was the unusual one here.]

...huh? Ultern? Is that the name of this place?

[He figured they weren't in Orre anymore! But, that wasn't the real focus either, right? Frillish...]

If it wasn't stolen...and not with you...does it mean it wandered off to play somewhere then? Like inside the water?

[He will turn his attention towards the glistening sea close by them. He didn't know how to swim, but Frillish looked like it did! And the Pokedex mentioned about living in a den undersea.]

... that sounds like Frillish, yeah.

[That's a much more reassuring thought. Still, he hadn't managed to find him yet...

He sent out Tranquill.]

Tranquill, fly over the area and try to find Frillish!

[Tranquill cried out, flying in place as he listened, berore taking flight.
Trip glanced at Ace as if wondering if he had any Pokemon that could aid in the search...]

Wait, are you new here? Yeah, this is Ultern. Sometimes, people from other regions get brought here... and then, we end up back home. We can't really control it..

Yes, that's possible... he's always been a playful and strong-willed sort...

[Well, they were just at the beach....

He'll try calling for Frillish while walking by the shore!]

[Ace watched Tranquill in awe as Trip sent it out. Wow, he had two Pokemon? That was a lot! More than just one! He will look over to Trip, not noticing Trip had looked his way. Instead he smiled.]

Uh-huh, I woke up here...

[Trip's explanation had him frown. Go back home? The idea wasn't appealing... if only he ended up here sooner...

Pushing his darkening thoughts, Ace too walked closer to the shore. Maybe he could see something! He'll peer into the sparkling surface of the water that moved gently along. The sound of the waves hitting the shore, and how the water twinkled under the sunlight had him mesmerized.

A pair of beady eyes stared up at him--as a Corsola peeked out from the surface of the water happily cheering causing Ace to jump back in surprise.]

Uwah!?

Trip noticed the boy frowning at the idea of going back home. Maybe it wasn't a good place for him... but Trip didn't know what to say to that.

The boy's reaction to a Corsola was very funny and endearing, though! He couldn't help but laugh.]

That's a Corsola. It's not aggressive, don't worry about it.

It's a Water type Pokemon... but it's interesting, you don't usually see them so close to shore.

[He produced a pokeball, eye glinting with determination, before... he thought of something.]

... are you a Pokemon trainer?

[Wild Pokemon were rare in Orre, right? This boy was new here, he wouldn't want him to be totally defenseless, so... the capture could go to him.]
