In midst of a Summer Festival, yet again!

In the coastal city of Turnbloom yet again, the sun is bright and warm--but of course it's not the only place. All over Ultern everyone is enjoying the summer weather. Little by little, Ulternians and long-time Drifters alike have started to put out summer decorations throughout the start of August, which replaced the ones from Tanabata (if any had been left out to begin with).

There's a distinct sound of waves, and bustling of people nearby. Followed with the cool gentle breeze that carried the salty scent of the sea. Things seem to be at peace, as usual--or is it?

After all, there were always new Drifters popping in. Maybe today there just might be some new faces wandering through looking confused. Now's the time to step up and lend a helping hand. Icharibachoude, we're all brothers, as they say in Ultern!

Or heck, just feel free to enjoy the fun festivities filled with food and music.

That is, if you can--as behind the walls of houses in Ultern that day the familiar friendly faces all wake up with a surprise no one's expecting.

He grins and even gives her a little salute.]

... just in case, though, here's my Skarmory.
[Buson will pass Anemone one of the pokeballs clipped to his bandolier.]
You be good and listen to Anemone, alright?

[Off he goes to search! He searches the kitchen first (because he's thinking of sneaking a drink to have outside, okay), then Manzana and Anemone's room. Somehow, that feels more awkward, but alright!! Snooping around, but with permission... and hey, he didn't have to search too long at all! It's sitting right there, unobtrusively, blending in with the other books.]

Bingo!

[Anemone will catch Skarmory's ball with ease. She'll smile down at it.]

Pleased to meet ya Skarmory.

[While Buson searches she turned her attention back to Manzana. She nearly jumped when seeing his facial complexion.]

Ay! You're not looking so good. Did all that running around take ya out?

[Manzana's quiet so whenever Buson returns he'll find Anemone watching Manzana with worry.]

[Skarmory will caw happily in its pokeball, blade-like feathers fluffing up at the sound of her voice, not that Anemone can see it.

Buson returned a little later. He was curious about what was written inside, but didn't want to read until he was with Manzana and Anemone again. He doesn't notice them at first because he's so focused on the journal.]

Should I... read it or should you? Or do we just hold it up to Manzana and let him—oh, damn, might've left him tied up too long, he is pretty small... hold on.

[Buson will move to untie him.]

[Oh, duh the ropes. Untying him was a good idea Anemone thought. She let's a sigh of relief.]

Ya feeling better?

[She still doesn't get a response from Manzana--but she figured he just needed a moment to readjust. Leaving Vivillon with comforting Manzana, Anemone turned over to Buson.]

So ya found his journal? ...I wanna look but maybe we should let Manzana look. It is his!

[She'll then move in and whisper to Buson.]

Plus maybe he won't think we tried faking his writing or something of he looks at it first.

[Buson nodded at Anemone's suggestion and reasons, but didn't speak. He returns to Manzana.)
Do you feel numb anywhere? Pins and needles? Hàving trouble breathing?

... mind if I have a look at your hands and feet? A change of position might help too...

[He wants to examine him, but doesn't want to scare him by grabbing at him all of a sudden. Asking to see his shoulders, hips, or anything else (to check for pressure sores!) sounded like an even bigger long shot, so he didn't ask.]

[Manzana's quiet still. His silence was making Anemone's concern to persist--but she decided it was best to let Buson handle it. He seemed to know what to do, and it wasn't a good idea for her to start grabbing the guy in this state. She will however notice him turn his gaze over to his Vivillon.]

.... It's...hard to breathe.

[He'll manage to utter, while grimacing. Being constrained by ropes for too long didn't help but the fact his Vivillon chose to settle by perching on his chest was not helping matters given it's weight, despite how weightless it may look while fluttering its wings. Anemone stared and stared a little longer before holding a hand out to Vivillon.]

Vivi come 'ere, okay? I know you're worried about Manzana but...

[She'll coax Vivillon over. It'll make a curious sound but seemed to refuse to move from his spot either content to be close to Manzana, or generally trying to be protective of him. Anemone wasn't sure which it was.]

...don't....touch my Vivillon.

[Manzana will manage to utter, before shifting his gaze to Anemone. He will however oblige in pulling up one of his gloved hands (the one that was facing the two, almost as if blocking either Buson or Anemone from Vivillon), and holding it out to Buson.]

[Buson took his hand, checking the temperature and pulse. Is it warm or cool? Was his pulse preserved or lost? Is it numb or prickling?]

Can you feel anything?
Nerves can get damaged easily and it can take a while for them to recover... I'm sorry, I forgot you're a lot smaller.

Vivillon looked light, so I didn't think abput it, but that was basically suffocating you... forgive me, Manzana.

Vivillon, please sit next to Manzana, you're hurting him over there. Pressure on his chest won't let him breathe.
[Buson removes all of the rope, considering tying only his ankles, but he checks the pulses at his feet first too. For the moment, Manzana is free and Buson is reluctant to restrain him.]

[It felt weird having anyone close to him like this, without the lingering promise of more physical pain. No having the other apologize without any bite of sarcasm behind his words. If this had been back in Paldea, or maybe even Lumiose... things wouldn't have gone well, Manzana was certain.

That said, however--Buson's touch felt prickly. No doubt from his limbs going numb from being tied down for long.]

...I can feel your hand, but it's definitely...tingly.

[He makes no move to force Vivillon off. However Vivillon will thankfully move on its own accord, especially when Buson spoke up freeing up Manzana's chest. There's an unintentional gasp from Manzana, as he breathed for air as a result.

The bug Pokemon will move closer to Manzana's face letting out a worried sound. One which had Manzana move his hand to pet Vivillon with. Although it felt strange doing so with how prickly his hands felt in general. That was enough to distract him from the fact he was fully free from his confines.]

Alright, that's good. It'll probably be uncomfortable like that for a while, but the tingling means the blood's flowing back to your hands an' feet. That's a good sign. It can take a while before it stops feeling like that, might even be hours. The pulse isn't gone, so I think you'll be okay, just. Rest a while.

Listen, I'm sorry... I didn't mean for it to get dangerous, I just don't... make a habit of tying people up who I care about [... this is such a weird conversation to be having.

He winced a bit at the gasp when Vivillon flew away.]

... I definitely didn't tie it tight enough to stop breathing, but even a little pressure on rope, like what Vivillon put, can cause damage, especially with time, so... it might be safer to bring you to a hospital, even if you start breathin' okay right now. [Even if he's going to look really bad bringing Manzana in...]

... assuming we find a doctor there who didn't shrink like you and Nurse Emi at the Pokemon Center...

[This is absolutely a weird conversation and situation. Of course this wouldn't have even happened if ~~idiot era~~ Team Flare era Manzana hadn't started causing problems and getting (figuratively and also literally for his Pokemon) hit. He was just about ready to relax until the mention of going to the hospital pulled Manzana back to reality.

He didn't want to be here. This guy brought him here by force. He had no way of going back to Kalos, and to Team Flare. His stomach was beginning to twist, as he wondered whether he could even attempt to escape in his current state.

He's turning his face, hoping obscure his current facial expression behind his own Vivillon. Last thing he wanted was to show the clear fear that reflected in his eyes, at the thought of going to the hospital. Hadn't he been humiliated enough in one day?]

--don't. Don't take me there.

Huh?! Are ya kidding?

[Anemone interrupted.]

Ya only got one body! We gotta get ya looked after!

[Damn. He was like Bashou in the worst of ways. Buson's expression only showed pity now and he shook his head and held an arm out to keep Anemone at bay, in case she was going to force it.]

Stop... if he's talking and breathing and moving now, he's. Probably not in immediate danger. Yeah, it would be better if we could take him there, but I understand him being scared.

... do you know anyone that could help? Do you have any Pokemon that could heal? ... if I bring a doctor here, would you accept being looked after? I'm not gonna do anything you don't want me to, unless maybe if you're literally dyin' on me.

[~~Buson, are you going to add kidnapping a doctor to your crimes for today?~~]

[Anemone will stop, and sigh when Buson is clearly for her to not force it. She'll sigh, take a step back deciding to let Buson handle the situation. However as he spoke she will light up.]

Yasa! Manzana--you said he has a Cutiefly right? Cutiefly can help us! I mean, depending on what moves it knows! If anything it could probably help him relax...maybe one of the wild Pokemon out there can help too. Ya won't mind if it's a Pokemon, right?

[She'll peer over to Manzana who's gone quiet again. He seemed to be considering her words before reaching down for his two remaining Pokemon that was still with him (the rest were most likely waiting outside, worried). He hadn't sent either out earlier when Buson had intervened being unfamiliar with them both.

Anemone was on the mark. The thought of a doctor looking over him made him uncomfortable--but a Pokemon? That was another story. He'll pull out the Pokeball with Cutiefly and send it out.

Said Cutiefly immediately buzzing around in excitement, completely unfitting for the horrible atmosphere of the room.]

Hey, Cutiefly. Know any moves that'd help Manzana calm down or treat his injuries?

[Meanwhile, Buson was considering other options. Could he use some of the medicine meant for Mawile to help treat Manzana's injuries? He could go back to the Pokemon Center for more. It might be managed by a kid right now, but she was reliable for that much, at least.]

I... have a Potion too, might help. It's meant for Pokemon, but, I mean, if we're desperate...

((But, to be fair, translating the other stuff literally would give you some really goofy names like "Good Wound Medicine" and "AMAZING Wound Medicine," so, maybe...))

[Cutiefly buzzed around staring at Manzana while making a curious sound. Turning to Buson it'll zip around, accidentally bonking into him before zipping back to Manzana. Manzana stared, passively at the Cutiefly that proceeded to collide into his face.

Anemone slapped a hand to her mouth to muffle a laughter.]

.....Aromatherapy, Cutiefly. Can you use that on me?

[Manzana spoke while shifting his eyes close. At hearing Manzana's command Cutiefly perked up. With a smile, and soon the room will be filled with a soothing scent. As a result, both Buson and Anemone just might feel a little less tired and lighter than before too.]

...hey, ya think it worked?

[Anemone spoke up while glancing over to Buson. Maybe they won't have to use any potions out of desperation.]

[It's nice to see Cutiefly again! It brings a little more cheer to the gloomy situation, even if, yeah, it also feels completely out of place here...

He blinks at the bonk.]

... now I know my aura don't look like a flower. Maybe Cutiefly's just real clumsy—

[Ah, there it goes, into Manzana's face again.]
... or all that Team Flare stuff didn't change as much on the inside.

[He felt little more relaxed and certainly less tired! He felt less inclined to give up, too, vision clearer.]

... any easier to breathe? [He's asking Manzana, but he'll be paying attention to how Manzana sounds and looks more than his answer, since he's expecting Manzana to calim to be alright either way just to avoid the doctor.]

[Cutiefly of course paid no mind to any of the gloominess! At all!!! It was just so happy and continued to buzz around Manzana, who reopened his eyes. He could feel his breathing steady. The numbness in his limbs also seemed to subside. That was good to keep in mind what this Cutiefly could do. It would come in handy later, he noted.

Upon hearing Buson's commentary about Cutiefly seeing auras, he shifted his gaze up to see Cutiefly's smile. He couldn't understand why this Pokemon looked so happy looking at him.]

.....I'm fine.

[He replied while finally shifting to sit himself up on the couch. He doubted that much of a movement would cause either of them to throw him back down. ...or he hoped, anyway.]

[Aw, man, he didn't even thank Cutiefly... well, he'll have to do it, then.] Good work, Cutiefly!

[Buson smiles a little, watching Manzana get up.]

Take it easy, alright? Good to see you lookin' better!

[He assessed the colour in Manzana's face again, watched the rise and fall of his chest, and also held out a hand.]
Can I see your hand again? You can just show me your palm if you don't want me touching you.

[No, there's no sign they're going to put him down again! They want to see Manzana better, really!]

[At the gratitude Cutiefly began to buzz around. Very delighted! Manzana moved his gaze over to Buson, still wary. At seeing Buson's hand there's a long pause from him. He seemed to be thinking over his options whether the refuse or not.]

...fine.

[He spoke up, finally. Manzana didn't think on it for long, as he removed the glove on his hand--and held it out to Buson to see. Unsurprisingly, it was well manicured and taken care of, because of course it would be. He was a part of Team Flare, after all!

Of course while he did this Cutiefly moved to perch on top of his head, still buzzing.]

[Buson couldn't help rolling his eyes, but refrained from commenting on Manzana's prissiness (with great effort!) and examined his palm for pallor anyway.]

... Well, you don't look grey or yellow anymore, so it looks like your circulation's fine.

Alright, can I see your foot? Looks like everythin' is fine, now, so...

[Glancing back at the mango slices.]

... feel like eatin' now, by the way? It'd help. Or maybe just have some water?

[When his hand seemed done being looked over Manzana's quick in shoving the glove back on. Yet at having his foot looked at, Manzana's clearly hesitating again as he's looking away.]

Uh, you know! Speaking of water, what if I go get some water for ya?

[Anemone who was still standing behind Buson spoke up.]

Ya might feel better after. It can be hot out and you're dressed to the t. Not exactly weather friendly!
[Manzana's glancing over seeing Anemone's smiling face. This situation was just...he didn't know what to make of it. His Pokemon were friendly towards the two, and on top of that on occasion both of his Pokemon didn't seem to recall any of the moves he ordered them to us. That and he couldn't stop thinking about Lysandre. Just what was he going to say or do, now?]

[If Buson were still more tired and snippy, he would've mockingly told Manzana it's fine, but not to blame anyone else if he ends up losing a foot or two.

Instead, Buson's opted to ignore Manzana.]

[he softened his voice before shifting his gaze to Buson. Yeah, he wasn't squandering a third opportunity, sorry.]

[The moment he lifted his hand up Vivillon will trill as he fluttered to land on Buson's face. Guess who's making another attempt at escaping the flower shop!?!

Yeah this dummy as he's jumping right off the couch and making a mad dash for the door with Cutiefly still clinging onto his hair.]

[Oh, was Manzana finally calming do—no, it's a trap! A really simple cloak and dagger one. Buson's swearing and pushing Vivillon away with one arm while the other releases another Pokemon. Anemone still had Skarmory, he didn't want to risk poisoning an already weak Manzana with Muk, so... even if it felt scummy to send in Mawile, he called it out.]

After Manzana! Play Rough. ... easy, though.

[In return, Manzana, Mawile sends a cloud of sparkling fairy dust to block your vision, before Mawile darts in and trips him. At least he won't have to his forepaws/hands or jaws! His legs are uninjured and in peak condition.]

Mierda!

[The curse in Paldean slipped out when realizing Buson had sent a Pokemon out after him again. He was hoping not to use any of his other Pokemon aside from Noivern but he wasn't with him.

He didn't even have the time to spare a glance to see how his Vivillon was. Nor could Manzana shield himself from the dust, or brace himself as he tripped. He's tumbling down, causing Cutiefly to zip away, not wanting to get crushed in the process. Of course there's a loud crash as Manzana hit the ground.]

Buddy, you're a real goddamned pain, you know that?

[Buson sighs as he walks over, gently stroking Mawile's head on the way—sorry, Manzana, armlock!]

The second you're a little better, taking off like that?
