In midst of a Summer Festival, yet again!

In the coastal city of Turnbloom yet again, the sun is bright and warm--but of course it's not the only place. All over Ultern everyone is enjoying the summer weather. Little by little, Ulternians and long-time Drifters alike have started to put out summer decorations throughout the start of August, which replaced the ones from Tanabata (if any had been left out to begin with).

There's a distinct sound of waves, and bustling of people nearby. Followed with the cool gentle breeze that carried the salty scent of the sea. Things seem to be at peace, as usual--or is it?

After all, there were always new Drifters popping in. Maybe today there just might be some new faces wandering through looking confused. Now's the time to step up and lend a helping hand. Icharibachoude, we're all brothers, as they say in Ultern!

Or heck, just feel free to enjoy the fun festivities filled with food and music.

That is, if you can--as behind the walls of houses in Ultern that day the familiar friendly faces all wake up with a surprise no one's expecting.

Banyan's Research Lab
[It's early in the morning, and while the Professor starts his morning early with his Pokemon things are different. There's no signs of the familiar Pokemon Professor emerging out to the porch. Instead, a young boy emerges out, barely dressed for the day and barefoot.

Not only is the big bandage on his face quite notable, but it seemed there were a few bandaids on his arms. Perhaps he was the clumsy kind? Or perhaps not given how he's jumping down, past the stairs on his porch, calling out to someone.]

Chide?! Chide, where are you!?

Route 1 - Seaside Trail
[The wind is refreshing from the breeze picking up the water from the nearby sea. There's a young boy out on his own clearly searching for something. There's a Staryu that seems to be slowly trailing after him. The boy seemed to be too focused on whatever he's doing to notice the Staryu--that or perhaps, he didn't seem to mind having one tagging along?]

Turnbloom - Pokemon Center

[Behind the desk of the Pokemon Center, instead of the usual smiling nurse there’s a young girl instead. Why she’s there, or how she’s got there no one seems to know–not even her. Instead she’s gotten herself comfortable on the seat right behind the counter with her favorite Igglybuff doll in hand.

If anyone were to come up close, naturally she’ll be happy to assist! Followed by a giggle of course.]

Early Morning - Churahana Flower Shop

[Things aren’t peaceful even at the lovely flower shop in Gilterrace Town. In fact the door slams open followed by a young man in a red suit being thrown by an equally young lady–in a pajama dress, with her auburn hair down and sticking out every which way like she had just woken up.

Her yellow eyes are blazing with clear anger.]

Who the heck do ya think you are sneaking into my bed, ya creep?!

[Ruh-roh, what’s going on there?]

Afternoon - Turnbloom City outskirts

That can't be right...

[A young boy starts fiddling with his phone wearing a look that's a mix of confusion and frustration. Circling around him is a small green simian-looking Pokemon -- different from a Pansage, seeming more carefree than its preoccupied trainer.]

...I'm right next to civilization, yet I'm not getting even a signal here. What's going on?

[Two can play this game of looking at their electronic devices--but in X's case he's pulling out his Pokedex to point directly at Goh's Pokemon out of curiosity. It's a plus his has been upgraded to recognize Grookey. Without looking up, he'll speak up.]

You're new here, aren't you?

[Finally, X lifted his gaze up from his Pokedex screen to look at Goh.]

[Goh is startled at first, not realizing both him and Grookey aren't alone.]

...You could say that. [Wherever "here" is.] Where am I, anyway?

[X figured as much, mostly based on Goh's phone refusing service. Putting away his Pokedex, he'll begin to explain.]

You're in the Ultern region.

[He's taking it slowly, while gauging Goh's expression. How was he going to handle this bit of information...?]

...This place has a habit of drawing both people and Pokemon from other places.

The Ultern Region...?

[He couldn't help but repeat what X said. Not that he's familiar with the name. And he can't deny there's other places he's yet to discover. Though the description X made sounds a little far-fetched, but... not impossible.]

So you're saying something's transported us here for some reason?

Research Lab

It's too early in the morning for someone to be making so much noise. Gold sleepily makes his way out of his room, still in his pajamas, and looks out the window. Huh, an unknown kid. Did Banyan invite another kid to stay here without Gold noticing? Gold opens the window.

"Hey!" he calls out to him, voice a bit thick from having just woken up. "People are trying to sleep here!"

Evening - Turnbloom City

Blending in the crowds of people visiting the festival, there's a small boy in filthy clothes. He doesn't know why he's here, but he doesn't care. Not when there's a large crowd of people spending their money on food from the booths.

Gold walks past booths with colorful toys and masks with barely a glance of interest, looking for easy marks. When he finds someone who's about to buy some food, he casually hangs out near the booth, acting like he's not keeping an eye on them.

And suddenly, the moment you're buying some food, a small gremlin swoops past you and snatches either your wallet or your food, whichever's easier, and runs off. What will you do?

[ooc: Gold's deaged for the evening! You can respond with either prose or action tags, I'll match you! Also, warning: there will definitely be swearing in this thread once baby Gold opens his mouth ^^;]

[There's a nod from X, confirming Goh's non-question really. At his second one his expression remained the same. Despite that, on the inside there's still concern on his Goh was about to take the news.]

That's right, but whatever that reason is no one seems to know.

The child stopped at the sound of Gold's voice, before whirling around to see who it was. A clear look of confusion appeared on his face.

"What the...that ain't...? But that's my room...?" He's mumbling to himself at first, before frowning. "Who the heck are ya!?"

He finally called back out to Gold with his gaze lifted up to him.

Surprise! The one who had her delicious snack stolen before she could even got a bite is Red--she blinked, stared at her hand once and then over to Gold. Placing her hands onto her hip she sighed.

"Here I was looking forward to a bite of a nice and fresh doughnut!" Despite her complaint, she's already going off to give chase with Gold while also waving and making the loudest noise possible gathering the attention of others. "Hey kiddoooo! You forgot thiiiis!"

She's waving one hand even, almost deliberately trying to get more attention of others. (It was very much deliberate.)

"I'm Gold!" Gold calls back, leaning against the windowsill. "Who the heck are you?"

But there's something vaguely familiar about that kid... Weird. Gold rubs his eyes and yawns, before returning to staring at the kid.

"Have ya been drifted here?!" He's calling out to Gold still, clearly confused. Unlike Gold he wasn't tired as concern about something seemed to be fueling him. At Gold's question there's a frown. Why was this guy acting like he lived there?

"The name's Beni! Who are you?!"

[Here's a girl in a purple school uniform approaching you with a purple cyborg motorcycle dragon approaching you. And she's curious about his Rotom Phone.]

Whoa... An old model and a Grookey! Are you new here?

[gold_drum]

At the shouting, Gold just starts running faster, clutching his stolen doughnut in his hand. Tch, she was trying to gather attention. Gold ducks and dives under the legs of a passerby that turned to look their way at the shouting, then keeps running. This isn't his first time running away in a crowd!

"Ohohooo?" She's raising her brow when Gold continued. Not that she didn't have her own upperhand but he's a cute kid, and she's not mad (but a little peckish)! Instead she'll continue along the crowd deciding to play along for the time being.

"Oh golly gosh! Looks like I lost that kiddo! It's too bad but I have absolutely no choice but to give up!" She wiped away a fake tear while turning away dramatically. There's a sympathetic look from the person she bought a doughnut from.

Red however hid a huge smile behind a hand while dropping a Pokeball in another.

"M? You know what to do, kay-o?"

"Viii!" A Victini plucked another doughnut from the booth, while zipping off. Before the booth owner could say anything, Red slapped down some cash and headed off on her merry way.

She hummed knowing even if she lost track of Gold there was no way Victini would.

Gold barely hears any of Red's performance, busy running away. But once he feels like he's lost her, he slows into a regular, casual walking speed, and heads away from the main booth area and the crowd. Nope, nothing suspicious to see here, just a kid who's bought a doughnut legitimately!

Certain that he's gotten away, Gold sits down in the shadow of a tree, holds his crispy doughnut in both hands and begins to eat, unaware of his Victini pursuer.

Uwah! [Ai peered out very meekly from behind a wall, inside the house.]

... a new kid? He's very loud.

It's not long until Victini swoops in with the doughnut still in its paws. It'll fly around Gold with a smile before holding out the doughnut. There's no trainer in sight, just a friendly orange and yellow Pokemon.

"Vii, viii!"

... oh, damn, where's the nurse? It's just some kid.

[Buson here, carrying a Mawile with bandages on its arms and the lower half of its jaw.]

[With the nicest voice he can muster, even if his brows are clearly knitting together in frustration and annoyance.]

Uh, hey, there, little missy...

I need someone, preferably someone who's been to medical school and presumably above drinking age, to get a look at Mawile, see if its wounds have healed or if it needs a change of bandages or... somethin'.

Know where the nurse went? Your mama? Auntie...? Sister...?

[The young girl is beaming, but at the sight of Mawile there's a huge frown and a look of worry.]

Oh no your poor Mawlly's really-really hurt!

[Immediately she's ducking behind her Igglybuff doll. There's a huge frown.]

I don't know where Momma is, it's just me right now!

[ulternprofessor]

[Loud child doesn't notice Ai quite yet! But you know who does notice both Ai and him? Beni's Pikachu--Tipper. It's skittering over curious by the loud sounds. He'll notice Ai looking out from a wall and follows to do the same.]

Pika?

[Oblivious to the two, the boy is still outside calling out to someone.]
