Arrival, Part 1

Anyone walking out on Stardust Beach might be surprised to see someone new, a young man with brown hair lying facedown in the sand, groaning. A Carnivine hovers over him worriedly, drifting back and forth in what looks like the equivalent of pacing. Finally, he turns over, looking up at her.

"Ugh, Macy...where are we?"

"Vine..." She sounds just as confused as he is.

Arrival, Part 2

Meanwhile, Turnbloom Gym now has a young teen hanging around outside, face pressed against the glass as they observe the gym interior. They're holding a carved walking stick that seems way too tall for them. After a bit, they try to wave down a passerby.

"Hey! Do you know where we are? And have you seen my dad?"

A cute little Eevee is soon peering down at him too.

"Hi! This is Ultern! Are you okay?"

[Alice waves and tucks away her notebook. She walks over, her weird-looking Masquerain (why does it have cannons for front legs?) buzzing behind her.]

We're in the region of Ultern, but I'm not sure about your dad. You see, this place is subject to a temporal phenomenon that takes people through the spacetime stream and deposits them into the region, and eventually sends them back where they were. I understand it's inconvenient and likely distressing, but we can try and see if maybe he's around!

Arrival Part 2

[He’s probably gonna feel like he’s seeing double when Calla, walking by towards the Pokémon Center, pulls up short to approach him. She’s a bit short for a girl her age, with a jaunty yellow bandanna tying her hair back in a low ponytail. There’s a Spearow riding on her shoulder that croaks before going back to preening her bangs.]

Ulsai, hi, you’re on Ultern. Who’s your dad? Maybe he got here before you did. Me and Zephyr can help look if you want.

[And that’s about when she notices the Gym.]

-Oh! Oh, you’re a Trainer, too, aren’t you?!

Arrival Part 1!

X had just arrived at Stardust Beach when noticing both trainer and Carnivine in the sand. It doesn't take his sharp eye sight to immediately pick up on Carnivine's worry, and the trainer's status. Rushing over, he'll call out.

"Hey--are you hurt anywhere?" Once close enough he'll be kneeling down, and digging into his bag for a water bottle. It was better than nothing if the guy had any notable injuries--or better yet parched.

It's the Carnivine that gets Volo's attention first. He has seen lots of unfamiliar Pokémon in Ultern, but finally, here's one he recognises! However, that's not necessarily a good thing. He approaches, but slowly, remembering that Carnivine were always aggressive back home. He doesn't fancy the idea of being chased down the beach by this one!

When he draws closer, he sees that the Carnivine is accompanied by a human, and one who seems to be in a very similar situation to the one Volo had found himself in, on the day of his arrival. He'd been drifted onto this beach, too. In his sleep, or so it had seemed.

"Ah...hello...? Are you alright?" He edges closer, keeping one eye on the Carnivine, and one hand on his Togekiss' Poké Ball. "Welcome to Ultern! Please don't attack me..."

"Oh, no... did you come here without your papa too?" Ai asked sympathetically, frowning, her hands coming up to cover her mouth. "To Ultern, I mean... this region?"

"Oh, dear... did you have an accident or are you new to Ultern? That Pokemon isn't natively found here, so I'm assuming you two drifted here."

Lillie's Alolan Vulpix, Snowy, barked a greeting as well.
