[Intro] ¡Hola, Ultren!

[Route 1]

[If you're passing through Route 1 right now, you may notice it's a bit noisy right now. Just as you are on your way, you hear a young girl's shout.]

¡Ey! Out of the way!

[Before you know it, a purple dragon resembling a motorcycle suddenly passes through you before stopping Akira-style right in front of you. The dragon Pokemon seems a bit...mechanized compared to the ones you saw with its LED blue eyes with silver antennas attached to its eyelids and its throat and curled tail resembling glowing blue and yellow wheels before they turned back into silver.

The rider got off the dragon's back and rushes to you, which turns out to be an 11-years-old girl with her hair braided with a red and white hairclip and wore some sort of a school uniform consisting of light purple shirt with purple necktie, brown leather backpack with a grape emblem hanging on the side, purple shorts, black long socks, and brown loafers.]

¡Lo siento mucho! I didn't see you there. Are you okay?

[Turnbloom City]

[If you're in the area, you might see a young girl in a purple school uniform wandering around the city. Looks normal.

Until you noticed a purple cyborg dragon walking around by her side while happily carrying a subway sandwich in its mouth.

Do you want to interact with both of them or just a sandwich-loving dragon?]

[Juliana chuckles.]

Yep! It can't battle when we first met, but either way, it helped me travel around Paldea as my ride Pokemon/motorcycle!

[And she isn't kidding about the last part. I mean, look at the cybernetic dragon! It has boosters on its backside!]

I'm Juliana! I'm from Paldea. Well, "moved there" might be the exact term. But I'm there because I'm a student at the Uva Academy. I was supposed to travel around Paldea as part of my Treasure Hunt Independent Study and well...

[Juliana looks around and sighs.]

You can say we're in the same boat as you.

[Miraidon frowns, still missing driving around Paldea.]

Gians...

[While he has not heard of Paldea before, from what Juliana told him does sound interesting. And Miraidon has been a fascinating Pokemon so far from its appearance to even the small interaction they have together.]

Ooh, Miraidon's a Ride Pokemon too? That's amazing!

[But once he hears Miraidon's worried cry, Ash's expression softens and gives the Pokemon a gentle, comforting pat on the head.]

It must've been a real shock to you two, huh? It's the same with us too at first. I wondered what I should do while we're stuck here. Since... we don't really know how to get back home anyway. And people tell me we might be stuck here for years...

[Despite the somewhat somber tone, Ash quickly tries to shift away from it and reassures Juliana with a grin. Neither her, Miraidon, not even him and his buddy should feel hopeless in this sort of situation no matter what.]

Well, at least there's a chance we'll find out way back! I'm sure things will work out somehow! Besides, this place is nice and the people here are really friendly! I think you'll like it here!

[Years?! Yeah, if that happens, then the whole academy might report a missing student that might spiral into another scandal bigger than Team Star!]

I hope it doesn't. I still have homework back home...

[But there is no time to mope. With Ash's reassurance, Juliana and Miraidon's spirits return.]

I think I will. Despite the potential stranding here, this region is kinda nice. Heck, we even ran into some cool different-looking Pokemon here. I even caught that strange-looking Pichu along the way here. I did it because it kinda got attracted to Miraidon.

[~~Homework should probably be the least of your worries, Juliana.~~]

Haha! It sounds like you and Miraidon are settling in real quick!

[And that's good at least! Sure Miraidon stands out, but it helps that most of the people here aren't really judgemental and try to make everyone feel right at home here in Ultern.

Now his focus is back on Miraidon as he continues petting the dragon-type.]

Say, what's Paldea like? I know you said that you've moved there, but just seeing Miraidon makes me think there's probably a bunch of Pokemon you can only find in that region.

[Well, she does have a habit to find some interesting places whenever she seems lost with Miraidon.]

Oh, there are a lot of Pokemon you have never seen in other regions. For example, there is Cyclizar... [She shows a Pokedex entry of the said Pokemon.] They are Pokemon that you can find people riding back in Paldea. It's sort of a tradition there. There's also Clodsire, an evolution of Paldean Wooper, Annihilape, an evolution of Primape.

Ooh! Do you want to see what Dunsparce evolves into?

[She says this with a strange cheeky grin.]

His eyes widen as he looks at Cyclizar's entry, and moreso as he listens to Juliana. To think he'd hear that Wooper has a regional form in Paldea, and Primeape having another evolutionary stage... But when he is asked about Dunsparce next, the fact that it can evolve surprises him.]

Wait, Dunsparce can evolve!? I wanna see! I wanna seeeeee!!!

[He locks eyes at Juliana with excitement and glee.]

Alright...

[She still has her cheeky grin as she shows Ash a Pokedex entry of the supposed Dunsparce evolution...

Which turns out to be very identical to its pre-evolution, but it's longer than it with two segments in the image with another with three segments.]

It's called a Dudunsparce. Isn't it awesome?!

[Did I forget to mention she's a bit of a troll? :)]

[Ash then gets a close look at Dudunsparce. At first he raises a brow, looking somewhat perplexed, but in the next second his expression shifted to that of curiosity.]

Huh, it's like... a much longer Dunsparce.

[It looks bigger and heavier too. Do those wings make it able to fly still? Whatever the case, this is still interesting! He beams at Juliana, seemingly oblivious to her cheekiness.]

Heh heh, now I wanna see a real Dudunsparce in action! I bet it knows some really cool moves!

[Huh? His reaction is a surprise to her, but she shrugs it off since he seems to like to see that Pokemon.]

Well, it just so happens that I managed to evolve one back in Paldea a few weeks ago. I wish I can show you right now, but it's back on my PC and I have to go back to Pokemon Center's PC, unfortunately.

[That sounds like a hassle to do.]

Is that so? Well, maybe next time then!

[He's a little disapointed he wouldn't get to see it now, but hey he's more than happy to see one Pokemon from Paldea though. And he starts petting Miraidon again at that thought.]

Oh yeah, does Paldea have a Pokemon League too? Are there any Gym Leaders?

[Yes, Miraidon likes pets! Something Juliana lets Ash do while she answers his question.]

Yeah. 8 gym leaders, Elite 4, and the Top Champion herself, La Primera, Geeta.

Oh, and unlike other Pokemon Leagues, you get a Champion rank once you beat La Primera. I'm the second youngest trainer to do so next to my rival and friend, Nemona!

[Don't mind her flashing her Uva Academy badge as her sign of the said achievement.]

There's a Champion and a Top Champion!?

[His gaze catches Juliana's badge, and his eyes sparkle in awe. The Paldea Region's getting more and more interesting the more he hears about it. But what she said about being Champion catches his ears.]

Wait, so that means you're a Champion too? Woaaah!

[Immediately he closes in on Juliana with immense excitement.]

Then, we just have to have a battle sometime! I wanna see how strong you are!!

Hehe... Impressive, right?

If we have time, maybe I'll show you my skills along with Miraidon's battle form!

[However, her gloating ends when she realizes what Ash said.]

Wait... "Champion, too"? What you talking about?

Miraidon's battle form!? [What the heck that sounds cool????] Yeah, I'd love to see it sometime!!

[Now it's Ash's turn to be cheeky as he wears a playful grin.]

Heh heh, I may not look like it, but I'm actually the Alola Region's Champion!

[And he looks a little bit proud of his title.]

[First, there is paralysis. Then her eyes widen. And after a few seconds, she quickly runs to Ash in shock.

You're the Alolan Champion?! I haven't heard about the Alola League scene since...they recently opened. But I can't believe you're the Pokemon Champion of the Alola region!]

Gias?

[Miraidon tilts its head in confusion.]

Hang on. Are you the first Champion or the second Champion? Cause I heard rumors all the time on the net and I heard the first Champion wears a hat like yours or mine and has an Incineroar as their partner.

[Ash immediately takes a step back, startled by Juliana who closes in on him. His playfulness shifted to being sheepish now that someone's got their eye on him.]

Ehehe, well when I competed in Alola's League Tournament, it was the very first one they've done one in their region. So that just makes me their first ever Champion.

[First? But did she hear there was a first that is not named Ash?

Well, whatever. She's too starstruck thinking about it now.]

That's tan asombroso. We have to battle someday! I want to battle the very first Alola Champion very soon!

[Tan a-what-now? Well whatever Juliana said there must be good though, because she seems pretty excited!]

For sure!

[And he nods, now really looking forward to meeting Juliana again someday.]

[Juliana offers a handshake as a sign of friendship.]

Awesome! When we meet again, we're gonna have what Nemona calls, "a fruitful battle"!

[And Ash returns the offer as he takes her hand.]

"A fruitful battle", huh? I like the sound of that!
