[Intro] ¡Hola, Ultren!

[Route 1]

[If you're passing through Route 1 right now, you may notice it's a bit noisy right now. Just as you are on your way, you hear a young girl's shout.]

¡Ey! Out of the way!

[Before you know it, a purple dragon resembling a motorcycle suddenly passes through you before stopping Akira-style right in front of you. The dragon Pokemon seems a bit...mechanized compared to the ones you saw with its LED blue eyes with silver antennas attached to its eyelids and its throat and curled tail resembling glowing blue and yellow wheels before they turned back into silver.

The rider got off the dragon's back and rushes to you, which turns out to be an 11-years-old girl with her hair braided with a red and white hairclip and wore some sort of a school uniform consisting of light purple shirt with purple necktie, brown leather backpack with a grape emblem hanging on the side, purple shorts, black long socks, and brown loafers.]

¡Lo siento mucho! I didn't see you there. Are you okay?

[Turnbloom City]

[If you're in the area, you might see a young girl in a purple school uniform wandering around the city. Looks normal.

Until you noticed a purple cyborg dragon walking around by her side while happily carrying a subway sandwich in its mouth.

Do you want to interact with both of them or just a sandwich-loving dragon?]

[Evie the talking Eevee is so fascinated by the dragon she's mesmerized. She snaps to when the girl stops it and hops down.]

Yeah, I am! I'm sorry I was in the way! Your Pokemon is so amazing!

Oh, thanks! That's Miraidon and it's...

[As she looks in front of her, she notices that no one is there. She is confused and wonders who said it. That is until her purple cyborg dragon nudged her with its head and pointed down. She looks at where it was pointing and...

She is staring at an Eevee. An Eevee...that can talk...]

Uh, did you just...talk? As in...normal human talking?

Yeah! It started when I came here! It's so neat!

[Okay, she's seen Pokemon from the future, an AI robot, and the school director disguised as a school kid wearing a lame pompadour wig. But never in her life saw a talking Pokemon.

And she loves it!]

Wow, that is so fresco!

[Don't mind Juliana carrying you in her hands, Evie.]

My name is Juliana! What's yours? And where's your trainer?

[Excuse you, you and your futuristic lizard just almost ran over him!! Hoopa? Hoopa is absolutely fine, watching in awe.]

Watch where you are going, will you!?

[Lear's instinct was to be very loud and vocal about his disdain over the situation. Hoopa on the other hand is giggling.]

[Evie loves being carried and held!]

I'm Evie! I don't know where my Trainer is.... Team Rocket took me away from him years ago and I'm trying to find him!

[No way. And she's all alone here in this new region by herself. Juliana can't help but feel sad for this Eevee.]

Ay Arceus mio, I'm so sorry to hear that. I don't know who is this Team Rocket, but I can't forgive them for taking you away from your trainer!

[By the sounds of it, Team Rocket is not like Team Star. Besides, she knows that they only cut classes, not steal Pokemon.]

[Well, it's been a while since she ran into someone rude. The fact this arrogant sunglasses guy isn't making his first impressions on her better.]

Hey, I did say sorry! [Well, "sorry" in Paldean language.] No need to be brusco, you know.

They are really mean and they want Pokemon to be mean too! But I've been making lots of friends here!

Oh, hello!

[Not like Alice can talk about weird Pokémon. Indeed, she's currently sitting on a bench, sharing a lunch box of lumpy tamagoyaki and overcooked rice with a Masquerain that appears to have laser cannons for forelegs. Maybe it's that that causes her to look up and light up, smiling and waving at the newcomers.]

You must be new here! Or at least I've definitely never seen you around.

Whoa! [That was scary close! But, Mairin's unscathed, she mostly just took a little tumble backwards, but was quickly caught by Chespie's vines.]

Y-yeah, I'm okay!

What language is that? [Curious, as she regained her footing while Chespie helped.]

[Juliana sighs in relief. She thought that Miraidon overdid it with its boost.]

It's Paldean! Well, I'm not fully Paldean, but I learned a lot of it back home.

I'm Juliana! What about you and that little chico?

[Yep. Definitely not like Team Star.]

Don't worry, 'cause me and Miraidon are here to protect you! And not just us! I have my Pokemon to back us up as well!

[Juliana turns to the girl smiling and waving and quickly waves back.]

Yep, I'm new here. The name's Juliana and this is one of my partners, Miraidon.

[Her cyborg dragon quickly scarfed down all of its sandwich before it roared happily at the new girl.]

Wow, Paldean! I never heard of Paldean! How far is that from Kalos?

[She blinked, then laughed a little awkwardly, bringing Chespie forward.]

Sorry, what does chico mean? You mean Chespie, right? He's my Chespin! I started my journey with him, isn't he just the best, Juliana?

Oh, yeah, didn't say my name... it's Mairin! Nice to meet you!

Yay, that's wonderful! You can help if they try taking more Pokemon! I helped stop one mean guy already!

It's very friendly! You'll have to excuse my curiosity. I haven't seen one like it yet.

[The weird-looking Masquerain flutters over to sniff at Miraidon and chirp a greeting as well.]

This is Hyperbug. And I'm Alice! There really are a lot of new arrivals as of late.

[Now Ash was just minding his own business. And while usually when he spots someone enjoying their meal with their Pokemon, he'd take a quick glance at the Pokemon, smile, and then move along. But however this is different.

Immediately Ash sprints towards Miraidon's direction and watches the futuristic dragon-like creature with so much sparkle in his eyes.]

WOAH!! It's a Pokemon I've never seen before!!! You're so cool!!!

Pikaaaa!

[Juliana hums in thought but then shrugs.]

No clue. I haven't been to Kalos, but I know from my textbooks it's far from Paldea.

[She chuckles as she crouches down before she tries to pat Chespie's head.]

It's "little guy" in Paldean. And I have to agree. He's cute and the best!

That's good! Being brave means you're one step forward to reuniting with your trainer!

[At least that's what she believes.]

If those Team Rocket grunts come running here, I'll make sure to be there to help you! Isn't that right, Miraidon?

[It didn't take long for both trainer and Pokemon to notice a boy and his Pikachu admiring the latter. Seeing the sparkles in both of their eyes makes the dragon tilt its head with a sandwich still in its mouth.]

Agia?

[Juliana chuckles upon seeing her Pokemon's confusion.]

Don't worry, he's only complimenting you, Miraidon. Don't be shy!

[Hearing this, Miraidon's LED eyes widen and once it gobbles down the sandwich, it tries to start licking both the boy and Pikachu.]

Really? I never noticed. I just found myself here while wandering around Paldea as part of my Independent Study.

[She then gingerly strokes the dragon's head.]

Well, I can't say much, but let's just say Miraidon is a new Pokemon related to a one called a Cyclizar, I think? Though most of the time, he often acts as my mount and traveling partner during my journey.

Then I should be many steps closer by now! I've been very brave!

Yay! I'm glad!

H-Hey!

[Miraidon's sudden show of affection got a laugh out of both Ash and Pikachu. Well aren't you friendly fella!]

So you're Miraidon, huh?

[Ash without hesitation, he brushes his hand over the dragon-type's head, noting how smooth and shiny its skin is... like it's made of steel. And its eyes almost look like screens from an electronic device.]

Y'know for a Pokemon you look pretty strange for one! [Then he glances at Juliana curiously.] Is this Pokemon yours?

Oh, I've heard of Cyclizar! I had an acquaintance from Paldea a bit before I came here -- Tulio had one, though he didn't keep it in his team. And believe me, I know all about different versions of Pokémon. Right, Hyperbug?

[Hyperbug chirps and waves a little cannon arm.]

Well, if you're new, have you heard the basics about this place yet?
