[ Intro Post ]

Oh. This kinda....

[ That was all she could think to herself as she stared at the area around, the sun overhead hot and bright as it beat against her covered shoulders. The weather here was nothing at all like she'd ever endured before, and Ahiru was somewhat tempted to roll up her other pant leg in an effort to alleviate some of the heat.  Instead she settled for rolling up both of the sleeves on her maroon pull-over, allowing that warm light to feast on skin that could give it a run for its money in terms of being blindly bright.  When she settled down for the evening and found herself with a nasty sunburn, maybe then she'd come to regret this choice.

Clearly, this was not Galar.  Ahiru was open to admit that she may or may not even be familiar with the region in which she was born and raised, but at the very least she knew whatever those trees happened to be were things she'd never seen before.  Also, perhaps, the clear blue sky above - as she was more used to overcast days and an endless fog of rain and mist.  Still, there were at least buildings here and people and pokemon - all things that gave her a clear sense of relief despite none of it showing on her face.

It seemed as though she still had her items, as the pack about her hips and the pokeballs snuggled against her back suggested, so maybe this wasn't going to be entirely bad.  Moving forward, she approached what appeared to be an older looking sign, written in script that Ahiru squinted at to try and make out.  After finding out that she didn't really understand a single thing, Ahiru looked up towards the sky again and squinted against the glare of the sun. ]

I wish I knew how to read.

[There's an illiterate kid here? Or just one unfamiliar with the standardized script? The Ulternian specific one isn't really used on the big shop signs and such, mostly just really old signs and books...

She looked like one of the country bumpkins from back home, but even more warmly dressed. Trip felt both confused and really sorry for her. Fine, even if he'd rather keep to himself, he couldn't just ignore her when she seemed so pitiful...]

... you're going to bake like that, just so you know. [This is coming from the boy in three layers including a hoodie and some kind of blazer, full-sleeved, naturally.]

You might get a nasty sunburn just rolling it up like that, shopping for a change of clothes would be a much better choice. That's basic, right? I can help you get some.
