[So, primarily becauseTrip can be still be unexpectedly timid sometimes Trip's not keen on the idea of calling into a radio show, he's going to try and mention Ken instead... except he doesn't know his username either, so. It seems he'll have to ask around...]

[The (very new and nearly empty?) account's not very helpful in identifying him, the profile picture is scenery, although Serperior's silhouette might vaguely be recognizable in it, the location is "who wants to know?" and the bio is just a link to his Mimmeo... it might look suspicious or creepy, but it's rather unintentional!
He's just keeping a low profile and not really much of a Pippi user. His linked Mimmeo is definitely more active, although there's long stretches of inactivity (whenever he gets drifted home—two images are years apart, both during Tanabata? One at the festival proper, another aa cafe, enjoying a meal with a Yamask, it seems...), but it dates back at least three years, and has lots of photographs he's taken, although none are of himself. Just scenery, Pokemon (his own Unovan Pokemon and Ulternian ones he's seen, wild and trained), and quite a few of cafe desserts, and, more recently, and clumsy/modest attempts at cooking.]

[Either that's someone employed to defend Ken oooor... that guy's him too? This has been a very, very confusing conversation with a lot going on!
Oh! A brother...? Trip looked at Gold in surprise, then back at Ken, frowning a little, looking guilty.]
... sorry... if my joke gave you false hope... I didn't know.
[This Gold never talked about having a brother, just a dad he liked, and a mom, well, who he'd be better off without. So, things can vary that much between worlds...]

[Since Ken's a lot older than his little brother, he never did tussle with him like that, but it's nostalgic to think of Gold play-fighting anyway. It reminds him of watching his brother and the neighbor's kid, Silver, playing together.
Yipes, sounds like the jig is up... Ken grimaces to himself, but smiles before talking to Trip again.]
Ahaha, you got it right... That's actually my alternate account, for more casual stuff than my official account. I, uh, got some flack from people I know about not being good about my privacy, so I set that up!
[It's a bit embarrassing to admit he's got an alternate account where he pretends to be a fan of, well, himself...
He smiles softly at Trip's apology. Oh, Trip. You gave him false hope way more than that, and by the time you asked about brothers, Ken was already not expecting anything... (Gold, meanwhile, stops snickering at the look Trip gives him and puts on a neutral expression
because I forgot to mention that in his reply.)]Don't worry about it. I didn't really expect you to know my brother or anything! It was more confusing than anything. I don't know who you were thinking of, but it sure was a coincidence that I had a brother as well!
[As far as Ken's aware, there's exactly one Gold counterpart named Ethan in Ultern who's got a brother named Ken! (He's unaware that the "Ethan" in question was lying about both of their names.)]

It takes a little more than a change of name and typing style to hide your identity... but for a start, it's pretty good.
[Even when he's trying to be nice, Trip has a rather high-handed way of speaking...
He's grateful Ken didn't blame him too much.]

Gold's a lot happier now, sir, since he got to go home and talk with friends and family. He's more at ease...

[Maybe Ken's here for a reason, too. He's definitely fitting in pretty well. And he's met some people he's glad to have met...
Ken smiles to himself, hearing about what Gold's been up to. He feels a little envious, hearing he was able to visit home... Ken still hasn't gotten to visit home once since he drifted here.
And burgers! That really makes him smile. Would Brett's burgers be anything similar to the burgers Ken's mom used to make? He's avoided talking about parents with Brett, considering everything he's gathered about his childhood, so he'd never in a thousand years ask him that. But Ken can't help missing his mom...]

[It now felt a little awkward and stiff too, so, he 'd rather go back to things beign more relaxed, so he playfully (if gently) patted Gold's shoulder.]

[He keeps smiling at the question of how they met, but... Hm. That's not really something he can tell Trip the details of, given how he freaked out back then when Gold was just talking to Attila at the cafe. "Well, Attila stalked me and told Ken where to find me and he showed up at my front door, looking for me!" ...Yeah, nope.]
He was visiting Ohritori Island on vacation and then came to talk to me since I look like his brother, I guess. [Gold shrugs casually.] It was kinda weird so I told him not to treat me like his brother and said he should call me Brett instead.
[Gold doesn't exactly hate Ken or anything, he just keeps an intentional wall between them because he doesn't want to have a family-like relationship with anyone that isn't his family. Ken's nice, after all. Gold can't let himself think of him as a brother or he'll... He doesn't really know what would happen or anything, but it gives him the heebie-jeebies. He feels like if he loses track of who his family really is he'll lose something. He can't explain it, even to himself.]
