A day to Return your gratitude!

Today is Return Day in Ultern.

Happy families, and blushing couples can be seen excitedly exchanging gifts that day. Not only that but it seemed the Pokemon too can be seen handing gifts out to their own family and friends, be it another Pokemon or a person.

Like any other holiday in Ultern there seems to be excitement in the air. In fact, everyone just might notice there are Gracidea flowers blooming here, there and seemingly everywhere especially out in the fields. People here can be seen decorating their place with the flowers, or even handing out bouquets of them as gifts to those they hold dear.

Maybe, just maybe there's someone out there waiting to send you a gift too. Or perhaps there's someone you're excited to send a gift to...?

[Ken laughs awkwardly, he doesn't know how to respond to that! He wants to say "You're not that bad" or something along those lines, but he doesn't actually know much about Mayday's crimes, and he honestly doesn't want to know.]

Aw, he's so cute! What type is he?

Oh, and... here you go! [Ken digs out some milk candies from a bag he's carrying and offers them to Mayday.] I would've given you something on Palentine's day if we'd met, but since we didn't, this'll do instead!

[Mayday’s definitely pretty damn bad, but still not as bad as some Rockets out there, all things considered. Weenis looks very pleased to be praised, tail wagging even faster. She chuckles.]

He’s Fire/Steel, and if you praise him too much, his head’ll swell bigger than a Brannel’s.

[She looks genuinely surprised as he continues. She hadn’t expected to get anything from anyone - even preparing what she had was just a spur of the moment sort of decision. After a moment of staring blankly at the gift, she takes it from him and actually smiles one of her rare and genuine smiles.]

…Hey, thanks. Here, this is for you. S’the reason I called you over here.

[She tosses him one of the pouches from her bag. Inside is an assortment of high quality pokeblocks and various sweets (for human consumption.)]

Bigger than a what? Is that a Pokemon from your world?

[Ken didn't know Mayday's world had such unique Pokemon and he's dying to know more! But he'll try to refrain from asking too much since he knows that'd be annoying.

Oh, a cute smile! Caught off guard by that, he barely manages to not drop the pouch while catching it.]

Whew! Thanks! [Feeling the pouch's weight, he can tell how much is inside it.] Oh man, now my gift feels like it's not enough. Here's a few more!

[And Ken gives a couple more candies. Maybe he should've prepared gift bags beforehand too instead of handing out wrapped candies haphazardly...]
