Today in Ultern the delicious smell of Petal Cookies may waft throughout! It looks like there's someone out there already practicing for the upcoming Harvesting Bonds Festival by baking a lot of cookies. Like, a lot! So much so they've set up advertising free cookies for all in a variety of colors, flavors and shapes too!

Why not go ahead and take a few? It looks like there's plenty of Ulternians and Drifters alike already enjoying some without any signs of adverse effects anyway-

Levi’d only just arrived in Ultern when he stumbled across the stand giving out cookies. He was aaabbbsolutely not about to trust and eat suspiciously free food handed out in a totally unfamiliar world he just woke up in, so instead he is passing the time people watching. None of these people looked like he was used to. It was almost like none of them were pokémon at all!

Except… that girl with the glimmering silvery white hair. Something about her felt familiar. Like home, in more ways than one. He shuffles over to her, speaking softly:

“Um. Excuse me? Hey. Alola. This is probably a really weird question, I know, so please don’t get mad if I’m wrong, alright? But... are you a pokémon?”

With black and red hair and yellow sclera, he looked a lot like an Incineroar himself. That’s probably a coincidence, though, right? Especially considering he’s so scrawny.

"Alola!" the girl turned bright crystalline blue eyes to look Levi's way, wide with surprise at the familiar greeting. "I am! Or, I was, until, just a moment ago..."

Snowy did not miss the yellow sclera and and red and black hair.

"Might you be... a Torracat?"

Ah. Gosh, she’s pretty, isn’t she? But no time to dwell on that.

“Yeah! I— I mean, no. Not anymore. I’m an Incineroar. I don’t blame you for not getting that, though. No one ever does.” Levi gives a resigned little sigh.

“A-anyway, that’s great! Really great! I thought I was alone here.” He totally missed the ‘until just a moment ago’ part, didn’t he?

“I’m Levi, from Iki Town in Alola. If I had to chance a guess… you’re Alolan too, right? A Vulpix?”

Oh, did she hurt his feelings? She noticed the little sigh and frowned a bit.

He is a bit small for one, but...

"Perhaps you're still growing and someday, people will recognize what you are," Snowy said, reassuringly. "It might just take some time..."

"All alone? There are many Pokemon... although, I suppose us Alolan Pokemon are much rarer here."

She smiled brightly at hearing where he was from and at hearing him correctly guess what she was, pressing her hands together. "Correct! I'm an Alolan Vulpix and my name is Snowy. My egg was found on Mt. Lanakila, although I live with Lillie and her family in Hau'oli City. It's very nice to meet you, Levi."

She mimicked Lillie's polite bow.

Carefully bending down, neatening her dress, she picked up Lillie... now a little Cleffa.

"This is Lillie! She raised me. Although, today, she's become a very small Pokemon..."

The Cleffa looked a bit wary at being picked up, watching the ground grow further and further away, clinging to Snowy's hands, before looking a bit more bravely towards Levi.

"C...cleffa!"

“Heh, maybe, but I sort of doubt it. I’ve got a buddy who’s always trying to get me to work out with him. It just seems like a hassle, though. I don’t like getting sweaty and stuff.” A little shrug. “But yeah, nice to meet you too!” Levi awkwardly gives a little bow in response.

As Snowy picks up Lillie, he shifts his weight, peering curiously down at the Cleffa. That was… an unusual statement. “She’s… not a Pokémon normally?”

Snowy hummed thoughtfully.

"I've met a few Pokemon like that... and an Ultra Beast, who's also a sort of Pokemon, I suppose. Well, you don't have to work out just because someone else loves to. Working up a sweat can be unpleasant, have you considered swimming? You'll keep cool more easily that way, while getting stronger!"

To answe Levi's question...

"No. Lillie's normally a human."

Lillie the Cleffa smiled a bit shyly. This situation was so weird...
