Today in Ultern the delicious smell of Petal Cookies may waft throughout! It looks like there's someone out there already practicing for the upcoming Harvesting Bonds Festival by baking a lot of cookies. Like, a lot! So much so they've set up advertising free cookies for all in a variety of colors, flavors and shapes too!

Why not go ahead and take a few? It looks like there's plenty of Ulternians and Drifters alike already enjoying some without any signs of adverse effects anyway-

"AWWW, what a cute little Togepi!" Iris cooed at the little baby. "Are you here all alone? How funny, you're not native to Ultern... were all these your trainer's things?"

Yes! Miss Iris, please help me!

Is that all I can say!?

Volo's rucksack was unusual and noticeably antique, since it had been drifted with him from Hisui. Nobody else in Ultern seemed to carry anything that old or hefty. Volo couldn't remember if he'd been using it when he'd met Iris before, but hopefully someone had seen him walking around with it. Hopefully someone would recognise it and realise what had happened!?

But a Togepi's arms were so short, and with no thumbs, Volo couldn't grab at any part of his rucksack. Instead, he could only jump up and down while pointing to the bag with one arm, and to himself with the other.

Those are my things! It's me, Volo!

"Togepiiii...!"

"Awww, did your trainer leave your snacks inside? Don't worry, I'll sit with you and I'm sure your trainer'll forgive me if I just open the bag for you."

Iris carefully sat down beside Volo, then, fiddled with the bag, trying to open it. Maybe she should remove this bundle of cloth first? There, now, she could open it more easily... then, she'll reach under Volo's stubby little arms (or small, featherless wings?) to lift him up, bringing him to the opened rucksack.

As it happened, there was a little paper bag filled with some treats for Pokémon, sitting somewhere around the top of the rucksack. They might have been called Pokéblocks; Volo couldn't remember. But he wasn't exactly in the mood for snacks. Besides, would he even like them, if they were made for Pokémon?

But he was a Pokémon. For now. Could be an interesting experiment...

On the other hand - no, if he went for the snacks, then Iris would think that was all he needed, like he was just a hungry Togepi, not a human under a strange curse! He had to find a way to keep communicating, or else...who would help him?

Just one little snack, though...

But the top of the bag had been twisted, to stop the blocks from falling out. There was no way Volo could get into it, unless he just ripped the paper bag apart and spilled the Pokéblocks everywhere.

Were things really this hard for Miss Togekiss, when she was small?

He flopped down onto his shell-covered behind and stared up at Iris, looking desperately glum.

"Pi..."

"A-awwww!"

Iris couldn't help but tear up at that sweet, desperate little face!

"Keep your chin up, don't worry, I'll help you! It's this you wanted, right?"

Iris will happily open the bag and present Togepi with about three PokeBlocks, before realizing they were quite large for such a small Pokemon.

"Hmmm, maybe I should break them for you... do you want me to chew them for you too or just break off little pieces?" she asked gently.

It's kind of a little baby bird, isn't it? For now, she's only breaking off little crumbs with her fingers.
