In the bustle of the marketplace, a strange incident seemed to be unfolding...
The Unovan petty thief, only relatively known for swiping food (given no evidence remains after her meals, it's rather hard to pin the blame on her, besides, kindly Ulternians probably feel too sorry for a wandering child from a faraway region, all on her own, grabbing food, and assume she must be starving), perhaps only theorized to have stolen the pastel pink PokeDex that doesn't really match the tomboyish trainer clad in a teal vest and yellow newsboy cap, with a black-and-red backpack (no one can pin it on her, okay, there's no evidence, alright?!)... might have grown a bit bolder, being in a new region, utterly disconnected from her old one, and attempted to swipe a communicator!
She planned it out, trying to be smart, she wouldn't steal anything that was very old, very rare, or too unique or which would easily be identified at all, learned how to wipe the device... but it all went south.
She got caught, but instead of booking it and running, she got confused by the mark's reaction.
"Oh, it's no trouble, you're only borrowing it, right?"
"... lady, I have no intention of giving this back! Why would you think some stranger you don't know is going to give things back?!"
Georgia stepped back, still considering running, but she felt an uncomfortable pang of guilt.
"... I don't even know your name!"
"It's Miyo," spoken by the woman while smiling gently, all the while, which just made Georgia all the more confused, disturbed, and upset.
"Gaaaah! That's not the point, you can't just let people take whatever they want, hoping they'll give it back, lady! Have some self-respect! This is SO not normal. You're sitting Ducklett!"
"Iichariba-chode."
"W-what's that supposed to be, a curse?!" Georgia snapped, furious and increasingly confused, clutching the stolen communicator close, preparing to run again. "I can't understand...!"
"Once we meet, we're family."
