[Turnbloom Market] Sneak Attack of Conscience
In the bustle of the marketplace, a strange incident seemed to be unfolding...
The Unovan petty thief, only relatively known for swiping food (given no evidence remains after her meals, it's rather hard to pin the blame on her, besides, kindly Ulternians probably feel too sorry for a wandering child from a faraway region, all on her own, grabbing food, and assume she must be starving), perhaps only theorized to have stolen the pastel pink PokeDex that doesn't really match the tomboyish trainer clad in a teal vest and yellow newsboy cap, with a black-and-red backpack (no one can pin it on her, okay, there's no evidence, alright?!)... might have grown a bit bolder, being in a new region, utterly disconnected from her old one, and attempted to swipe a communicator!
She planned it out, trying to be smart, she wouldn't steal anything that was very old, very rare, or too unique or which would easily be identified at all, learned how to wipe the device... but it all went south.
She got caught, but instead of booking it and running, she got confused by the mark's reaction.
"Oh, it's no trouble, you're only borrowing it, right?"
"... lady, I have no intention of giving this back! Why would you think some stranger you don't know is going to give things back?!"
Georgia stepped back, still considering running, but she felt an uncomfortable pang of guilt.
"... I don't even know your name!"
"It's Miyo," spoken by the woman while smiling gently, all the while, which just made Georgia all the more confused, disturbed, and upset.
"Gaaaah! That's not the point, you can't just let people take whatever they want, hoping they'll give it back, lady! Have some self-respect! This is SO not normal. You're sitting Ducklett!"
"Iichariba-chode."
"W-what's that supposed to be, a curse?!" Georgia snapped, furious and increasingly confused, clutching the stolen communicator close, preparing to run again. "I can't understand...!"
"Once we meet, we're family."

She’s … not surprised by the reaction the woman gives. The locals here were soft as hell. Frustrating, frankly. She stands up and sticks her hands in her pockets, stepping forward. She’s not wearing her uniform today (it is laundry day) but she’s still likely recognizable as the island Rocket.
“Good luck getting through to them.”

"... you're not from around here, are you?" Georgia asked, sounding a little bit more relieved. "Right?! This can't be normal...! I'm seriously worried about these people! If... if Ultern were in contact with the other regions, they'd—they'd eat them alive! Like? This is beyond just being honest and simple... this is SCARY!"

He's walking over before rather rudely moving to swipe his foot to Georgia's foot to get her off balance. If she does manage to fall he will hold out a hand, pretending he didn't totally just trip her.
He wasn't the heroic type, unlike a certain idiot however. So of course there's no friendly tone to him when he finally spoke.
"You got some guts trying to run off."

"What's it to you?!" Georgia snapped, adjusting her hat as she rose to her feet.

There's a scoff, and a laugh from Silver as he crossed his arms. She mad? Good.
Talk about a big jerk this guy.no subject

Tossing her hair for emphasis! See how her slightly curling hair bounces back? She's not insecure about her looks at all, flashing a grin.
"Later, loser!"
Georgia trying to book it, take two!

"You think I'd let you run off that easily?"

(Silver language-)"Tch! What a pain." He'll mutter while absolutely having no qualms in involving his Pokemon as he pulls out a Pokéball to send out Golbat. "Golbat-"
Before he could continue he'll notice the attention growing on both Silver and Georgia. The locals were looking in concern.
"What're ya doing, sonny? Lassy? Ya shouldn't be fighting-" one was even approaching trying to break out a potential squabble.
[oops, Silver's a hero now]
Fortunately, the Ulternian woman, Miyo, approaches to gently explain that while Silver shouldn't attack the poor girl, that he was only trying to stop her from taking something that doesn't belong to her.
"But you see, I've already given it to her... so it's alright. No harm done. Thank you, little trainer," she said gently, even giving him a pat on the head, caressing his hair.
this is what happens when his besties are protags
"I am glad it was all just a lil mistake and a squabble." He nodded. Silver on the other hand is looking between the two incredulously. Pushing Miyo's hand aside Silver will step aside.
"Hmph, fine. Let people keep walking over you and stealing your things. See if I care." Shoving his hands into his pockets he's storming off.

"They seem to be completely sincere, but it sounds like a good strategy for reverse psychology," she muses. "I'll remember it."
She speaks human talk and sounds somehow like an adult while also keeping a traditional Eevee tone to her voice.
no subject
"You're hearing this, right? It isn't just me..?!"
Miyo seemed unbothered by the Eevee.
"You're not the same one, are you?" Georgia asked.
That Eevee sounded a little more naive and child-like...

Cue Georgia attempting to escape with the stolen communicator!

"Thrill...?! You think I'm doing this for fun?!"
Weeeell, maybe sometimes, but definitely not right now!
"I just want a good way to keep in contact with people, lady! I'm stuck in an unfamiliar place, I can't always just go to Pokemon Centers, and this place doesn't even have Battle Clubs... and there aren't a whole lot of payphones, so I want at least one good way to keep in contact. Get off your high Ponyta and quit judging me!"

Well, that was. Surprisingly reasonable. Georgia's just going to stand there, kind of confused.
"... wait, so you're not going to argue with me? Tell me to stop or give it back?"
She expected more of an argument than this, honestly! She was starting to wonder if she was like that Miyo. This place was too creepy...

Eadie might try to convince Miyo to let Georgia have it as a gift for keeps, or she might privately pay Miyo for it, however. And she probably wouldn’t be as congenial if it happens again with another communicator. But just once, for this reason, she’ll let it slide.

Georgia's confused, but hesitantly appreciative.
"Well... thanks. But—"
Wait, she shouldn't be telling people to not go so easy next time, what's she thinking! This whole situation's gotten her very confused.
"... uh, have a nice... day?"
What's she even supposed to say to that?
If nobody's chasing her, maybe... she doesn't even have to run away? Suddenly, she didn't really want to leave so quickly...
"... so, uh. Do you just... is Ultern some kind of magic talking Eevee place? 'Cause, I can't help but notice a recurring theme here..."

She continued to study Eadie for a moment longer.
"So, you're a wild Eevee, then? No human partner?"

Georgia's slightly disappointed, she wanted to see the diner herself!
"So, you only recently got here, like me?"
