this is the run, we are invincible
[The days are here, and the Battle Park is all done up for the show. Banners with a weird shield-like symbol announce the Dome-tide tournament, and everything is organized in an orderly fashion. Everyone who signed up will be directed to their place and given a free water and name tag, and spectators will get a program detailing all the matches and locations.
The prizes are... well, something that a weird nerd would think are good prizes. First prize gets a Nugget, second a bunch of EXP candy, and third and fourth get literally just 30 Ulternian Poké Balls each. She had to be talked out of giving you textbooks.
select your team, b yourself, and have fun!]

[HOW IT WORKS
The bracket was seeded with characters who were signed up on the thread linked above for the month's plotting post! Since there were 10 teams and thus four people would have had to play an extra round, I gave those slots mainly to people who signed up multiple characters. You can find the bracket here with all the results, which were done via RNG.
The matches can be threaded out on the post in their toplevels according to the RNGed results, or can be skipped, depending on player preference. There will be a toplevel for rounds 1, 2, 3, and 4, and another for general spectating.
ICly, this runs on the 12th, but backtags until whenever are fine as always! This is a player-run event, so if you need anything, let me know!]

Red steps onto the field, analyzing it. A water terrain, which means he should probably send out his Gyarados and Fearow. But maybe Blast will use a water-type, so he should use Venusaur or Pikachu, or Charizard in case of an ice-type. Nidoqueen really wants to fight, but the field isn't good for her, so he should wait until the next match to bring her out... If he gets to the next match. There's no telling how strong Blast is...
He meets Blast's eyes over the field, expression hardening and sharpening into total focus. There's Hammy on his shoulders, too... Red makes the choice of his first Pokemon.
"Pika," he says, holding the Pokeball out. Pika the Pikachu pops out, a bit nervous in front of the audience, but hops out onto the field, on top of a floating platform. He can do this!

"Pika!" He seemed to be in a good mood even when surrounded by all the water in the arena. Red however, his expression remained sharp before calling out his first move.
"Hammy use Charm!"
"Piiikachuuu." As instructed, Hammy turned to Pika with baby doll like eyes, and making an all too sweet voice.

What an incredibly cute face! Pika can't help but be a little bit charmed. It's like his attack lowered by two stages!
"Pika." Red audibly stomps on the ground, snapping Pika out of it. Right, time to battle! "Double Team."
Pika begins to rapidly move side to side, creating illusionary copies of himself.
