[mingle post] Extreme summer weather
A. HEAT WAVE
It's a hot day in Ultern. The kind of day where you just can't muster the energy for anything. The kind of day where you feel like you could fry an egg on a car hood. On the radio, the usual DJ's voice reminds you to drink plenty of water, wear a hat and use sun screen, and to make sure your Pokemon are protected from the heat as well.
How are you spending a day like this? Eating ice cream or shaved ice? Resting in the shade? Taking advantage of the Pokemon Center's cooling system? Are you the type who trains outside no matter the weather? Or are you one of those poor souls who have to work outside in the blazing sun?
B. NATURE POWER
On another day, there's a sudden rainstorm. Water droplets attack the roofs in a loud barrage, wind howls, and you can hear the distant roars of thunder. It was hot just earlier, what happened? On this day, even the local radio station broadcasts nothing but static.
What are you doing on this stormy day? Caught by surprise while travelling? Staying inside and shutting all windows tightly? Listening to the rain with a cup of hot chocolate, or going out to enjoy the blasts of rain and wind on your skin? Taking shelter in the Pokemon Center, or knocking on the door of the closest house you can find to escape the rain? Exploring caves? Helping wild Pokemon deal with the weather?
Or maybe something completely different?

[He'll look over smiling to James.]
I'm Larson, it's nice to meet you.
[How about Gold->James->Larson as tag order?]
[Gold waves cheerfully and practically prances over to the counter.]
This is James, I just met him! He's looking for a new job, so I told him I'd introduce him to you!
[Perfect!!]
It's very nice to meet you! I'm James, I drifted here not too long ago... I would appreciate—
[His belly rumbled loudly. Ice cream, rice crackers, and water weren't the most satisfying!]

[He nodded to Gold before looking over to James. He smiled and about to speak until he heard the growling.]
Oh, are you hungry? Great timing if that's the case. I've been exchanging recipes with another cafe owner so we could come up with new ideas. I was hoping someone besides me, and my Chansey would taste test for me. What do you say? Would you like to join too, Gold?

[Whoops, he called Larson boss even though he doesn't work here any more. Oh well! More importantly, James has no reason to say no if he's not the only one getting the offer. Nicely done, Larson! Gold gives a thumbs-up!]
[All his reactions are so big...]
He fell to his knees, clasping Larson's hands in his own.)
Thank you!! How could I ever repay you...?!
[Tears already springing to his eyes. James seems an awfully emotional fellow!]

In that case-
[He didn't get to finish what he was about to say when James had fallen. Larson blinked as he looked down at James who was now grasping his hand. It takes a second before he's smiling again while reaching over to place another hand over James'.]
Please, there's no need for that. After I'm just happy getting to see someone eat my food. Now why don't you and Gold sit down right here on the side? I'll set things up and you two can tell me what you think about what I'm serving.

Truly, an angel among men! Your grace knows no bounds, Mr. Larson!
[And then he grins and gets up like it's nothing. That was fun!]
You got it, boss! [Salute! Then he heads to where Larson pointed them towards and takes a seat, waving at James to join him.]

[Larson laughed in response to Gold. Once they're both seated, he'll prepare to serve them. He'll start off with a cup of chilled, pink looking soup. It doesn't have any garnishing, as Larson was still in the middle of coming up with how to plate it for guests.]
To start off I made this soup! I made these with red turnips, and some plain yogurt. I wouldn't have thought to make a cold soup with out the other cafe owner's suggestion. She's sure nice! Anyway, there's still some things that's missing I feel but tell me what you think!

[The soup Larson brings smells delicious. It's hard to hold back until Larson's finished talking, but Gold manages.]
Cold soup! That sounds really good right now. [With the heat and all... And now for the taste test!] Hmm... Nice! I like how it's cold but has a kinda spicy kick. I kinda wish it was spicier, but I dunno if other people would like that.
[Considering how high Gold's spice tolerance is, some people probably can't handle the level he'd like...]

No, he soon began eagerly shoveling it into his mouth a rapid pace, punctuated by rapturous exclaimations and squeals of joy!!]
This is AMAZING!! So good! Why, I haven't had such a good meal in—can't remember when!

Oh I'm so glad you both like it! And I'll see what I can do to make it spicier, Gold!
[He'll pull out a pad to scribble down notes. His Blissey will peer over looking curiously at what Larson is writing! Once he's done he'll stick the pad and pen into his apron pocket.]
Now, we've only just started! How about some bread next?

[At the word bread, his face lights up.]
Heck yeah, bread! Gimme the bread! What kinda bread?
[It's an almost song-like chant, and he drums the table to add rhythm to it.]

It's like dining with the Lost Boys, huh...?
[He won't join in, but he's not mad, just a little exasperated!
Mime Jr. released itself, watched carefully, then, mimicked.]
Oh, no, don't—!
Mime-mime-mime! Mime-mime-mime! Mime-mi-mime? [Punctuated by drumming on the table, oh, dear...]
