[Hello everyone. How are you doing? The weather is lovely around Ultern today and it’s a great day for just going about your business outside. Maybe you just stopped by the market? Maybe you’re catching some pokemon? Maybe you’re having a snack? Wherever you are and whatever you’re doing, you suddenly find yourself being accosted from behind by a pink-haired young woman in a rocket grunt uniform. She’s going to try and MUG YOU AND RUN, taking any poke balls you may have been carrying with you.

If you’re quick enough and manage to dodge her sticky fingers, she’ll skid to a stop on the other side, turning to look at you. There’s a dark intensity to her expression. She flexes her fingers like a cowboy readying to draw a pistol… but doesn’t appear to be carrying a weapon, thankfully. All the same, she’s clearly not here for a friendly chat.]

Your Pokémon. Hand ‘em over.

[Her accent is very Galarian, but sort of…off, somehow?]

[…Unless, of course, you happen to be sporting a bright red R as well. She won’t apologize for bodychecking you but she will, at least, return any Pokémon she snatched if she managed to get any.]

[Alice's hand flies to her Poké Balls, and she steps back.]

[Mayday tosses the threat out with a disarmingly casual tone.]

Can’t have been worse than me if you’re still alive to talk about it. Don’t talk like you’ve got any bloody clue what I’m capable of.

[She takes a step closer.]

[Alice's mind races as she steps back. She'd never seen the girl before, and there are probably a bunch of red-haired young female Rockets who will actually just kill you, but she has to wonder --]

[Unbeknownst to Alice, Mayday’s last name - that is to say, her mother’s maiden name - was Foreman. The partial homonym gives the Rocket pause and for a split second the cold stare turns to almost apprehension. Did this girl know her? No, that was impossible. No one should know her last name outside of the organization (well, maybe Fred?) So then… So then, what the hell was she saying?]

Are you Four? The other one he brought back. That is -- what's a Randomizer to you?

[Because "did you kill my dad" is the more awkward of the questions she could ask.]

My name’s Mayday and I don’t know what the hell you’re talking about. I do know you’re wasting my time, though, and it’s starting to piss me off.

Chat comm—? Ugh, whatever. Look, once again, you’re underestimating me. I’ve been here for ssssseveral months now. [She makes a bit of a face at being reminded how long she’d been stuck here.] If you haven’t seen me around, you just got lucky. Too bad for you your luck’s run out.

Spreading the bad word of Team Rocket is my job regardless of where I’m at. Besides that, it’s fun. I enjoy it.

[She snorts a laugh.]

B [assuming she recognizes him *after* she mugs him]

[Besides, today, he’s wearing his pokeballs on an ammunition belt strapped to his chest, like he did in uniform, it’s just behind a (non-uniform) cargo jacket today.

Feel free to take the half-crushed, individually-wrapped chinsuko biscuit you found in his pant pockets, though. The money, he’ll probably be mad about if she took.]

I literally just got paid and buyin’ other clothes took precedent over buying a wallet. Most people ain’t dumb enough to mug someone like me.

[He’s narrowing his gaze and, if Mayday doesn’t hand the money over soon, he might have to use force!]

[Mayday just laughs at that.]

Easy there, I’m just taking the piss. It’s all yours. Robbing a fellow thief in broad daylight is unsportsmanlike.

[She grins, pretty clearly not actually concerned with what was and was not sporting, and holds the money out to him.]

[Evie the talking Eevee watches the Rocket accost someone in alarm.]

[Mayday turns in the direction of the voice, clearly looking for a human speaker. But… huh, that’s weird. There’s nothing here but an Eevee. I mean, she has seen some pretty wild things, but a talking pokemon? That’s just ridiculous. That’s why she sort of laughs when she looks down at the creature and jokingly says:]

I was worried I might've crossed a boundary the last time because Buson's just a bit blunt/rude/insensitive generally, when he was asking if she was a haafu because he's never encountered a Galarian Rocket...))

[He snatched it back, not appreciating being called a fellow thief, but she doesn't know he's changed his ways. It has been a long time since they crossed paths, after all... he's not going to tell her, for now, as it's none of her business.]

So what're you gonna do with the Pokemon you steal? It's not like you can just deliver them to HQ or anythin', right?

[You know it seems pretty low for someone like Mayday to start mugging a 10-year old in the middle of the street. Well whatever, Ash falls from the ground looking startled at first before noticing the big red R on her shirt.]

Team Rocket!? There's more of you!?!?

[And unfortunately for Ash, a few of his Pokeballs were stolen. Alarmed, Ash gives chase.]

Give me back my Pokemon! Pikachu, use Electroweb!

Pika!

[Immediately Pikachu charges up electricity from his tail and throws it at Mayday. The ball of electricity bursts and spreads out to form a web-like net, and starts flying towards the Rocket grunt's direction.]

Hmm, you’ve got a point. Hadn’t really thought about it too much. Stealin’s just second nature. [She scratches her cheek.] Guess I’ll just keep ‘em for myself?
